Change of topics - Chennedy Carter is still on the Aces bench. And, not at the end - she sits by the coaches. In game 3 against the Fever Becky Hammon was talking to during the game as if she were an assistant. What's going on? She's been there all season.
I remember seeing her there near the coaches. Wearing professional looking attire. I thought...what in the heck is she doing there?

She’s. Not. There.

Are you people insane?
I'm still reviewing the footage. There's a woman sitting on the half court side of the 2nd row of the bench area. I'm going to keep looking. Carter's face is something you never forget. If it turns out to be the woman I suspect, then she is a twin for C Carter. Or close.

Chennedy’s skills would be perfect to pair at SG next to CC. But she’s a head case and that wouldn’t go well.

Maybe someday she’ll mature enough and we’ll end up with a Rodman on the Bulls situation where the former Bad Boy partners with the guy he was beating up on.

It is funny how some of Clark’s biggest issues have been with players whose skills would pair perfectly with her. Carter and Reese would be great with her.

I wouldn't want that cheap shot artist on my team.

This is pretty incredible.

Game 1 of the WNBA SEMIFINALS! Atlanta Dream vs. New York Liberty! Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Rhyne Howard, Jonquel Jones, Allisha Gray, Jordin Canada!!! All of that supposed STAR POWER!! Nevertheless, just 9,745 tickets were sold & distributed; not all of the 9,745 show up, however.

And the 2 Caitlin Clark regular-season games? 17,044 in attendance, both times.

Jordan would have said the same thing about having two Detroit Piston Bad Boys on his roster back in 1990. And yet Rodman and Salley were teammates of his in 1996. But, as weird as Rodman was and was quite a bit of a headcase at times, he could usually pull it together when needed and hold a roster spot for successive seasons. I honestly think Carter is far more mentally unstable and needs professional help. She’s now had 3 WNBA teams kick her off their roster. The year with the Sky, and the tackling CC incident, is the only team that hasn’t kicked her off their roster. But they decided to let her walk at the end of the season.

It's the toxicity she brings to teams. No team wants her. Why would Indiana? She went from the Dream to the Sparks to the Sky to the Aces. China wants her. Fine. We have our hands full now. She's a nut case that can play ball, as highlighted above. I agree with you on that point.

Phil Jackson and MJ had the gravitas to hold Rodman's behavior in check. Chicago had already won 3 NBA titles and Rodman knew with that team and that coach he would be in line for more if he checked the crazy at the door. Plus Rodman was smart and didn't have a history of ruining team chemistry or team locker rooms. Carter doesn't have that ability, she's been a cancer at every WNBA team she's been with and she lacks the respect for CC that Rodman had for Jordan.

The Fever have a GM who was the Ticket Sales Manager for the Dallas Wings. They have a cabal of a front office, and coaches all connected to each other in some way from the past. A dysfunctional reunion at best when dealing with the media and the public. Cox hasn't shown the ability to assemble a playoff contending roster. She was most likely successful in managing, distributing, and selling tickets. They have a coach who hasn't shown the ability to manage her roster, develop chemistry outside of "The Big Three" and a host of other unpleasantries which I don't have the time or patience to deal with right now. I can't imagine a scenario where Carter would fit in with this team as dysfunctional as it was.

Yep. And I forgot to add that White doesn't come close to commanding the respect among players that Phil did. Carter wouldn't give two sh*ts what she had to say about a situation.

Do you mean tall, blonde, and hot?
It certainly helps but we need more people who don't back down to the typical BS that we continue to see in this stupid league (coach and FO included). We all know they're not going to change so there is absolutely no reason to back down, bend over and take it. Whoever said we should move on from her because she's doing podcasts is clueless.

Glad to see you're more interested in culture war crap than winning games.

This is incredibly laughable, especially coming from you.

The fact you think having a teammate whos not afraid to stand up for her team is laughable. I care about winning games more than anything, which is why I want this moron head coach to GTFO of town.

With all the BS that's going on around CC do you think we need something on a daily basis from Cunningham now on social media continuing to stir up the pot? I'm all for standing up for what you believe in and if ( and big if) she can continue to help the team next year then you keep her. I'm not sure she's a good enough player, especially down the stretch this year to keep around for next year. You clearly think the whole problem with this team revolves around White, and while I don't think she's the best coach in this league our current roster besides the Big 3 is downright awful. We have zero wings or Power Forwards that would start on any other team in this league and we have no depth at Center. The only way we win is if CC, Mitchell and Boston go out and get 60-70 pts every game which is totally unsustainable. And it looks like Mitchell is going. They are going to have top figure out what to do with basically 10-12 players next year. Guessing we keep Raven, possibly Lexi, and try to figure out what to do with everyone else including the albatross contract of Billings. Timpson probably stays unless we can use her in a trade with Billings of some kind.

New York was down 3 with 4 seconds left in OT. Apparently they had a reset timeout they could've used to advance the ball, but when they asked the refs they were told they didn't have it. So they ended up trying to go the length of the court and missed a 40 footer to go down 0-2.

Yikes.

Is anyone surprised the refs had NO idea what was going on?

Refs were bad in an otherwise great game. Everyone was pretty confused at the end.
My point was they're BAD pretty much every game, so why the surprise. Countless times we see them make the wrong call, review an obvious mistake, and then not overturn. We see them simply not seem to know WHAT the rules are. The game against the Aces where they wouldn't allow White to review an obvious bad call where Hull was pulled to the floor and called for the foul. Aja dribbling up the floor and trips over her own feet and falls into Boston, (who at that point hadn't been close enough to touch her) foul on Boston in two possession game. The list goes on and on. Their just bad , incompetent, ignorant of their own rule book, whatever. That's before we even get into the leagues deciding which rules to apply or overlook when it so chooses.

Boston clearly tripped Wilson on that play.

By "refs" I hope they mean scorer's table, because I doubt the refs on the floor are responsible for keeping track

Video reviews of even simple clear cut plays take 3-5 minutes while the official revel in the attention and destroy the game's pace. When announcing review decisions they use the player's names, not numbers. I've even heard them use first names like "foul on Paige overturned" or "A'ja shooting two." Absolutely unprofessional.

Night in and night out, the phantom fouls gifted to A'ja. The technicals on Clark for thing like "kicking' the ball, hitting the basket support pad with her hand, and bumping into an official when she lost her balance.

The quality of officiating highlights the league's lack of seriousness. The WNBA just can't grow past its image as the NBA's charity rec league for the Sisterhood.
