I listened to Hadad and agree that if K1 is hobbled, we should rest him at LSU if he will get more healthy for Oklahoma. Turf toe keeps him from planting his foot and being accurate. Not to mention the wild beasts LSU will have chasing him down.Well Hadad and everyone else is sure talking about it ad nauseam. Way too much is being made of his rumored injury(ies).
There was a play v USC that looked like he had something with his hammy. But he played the rest of that game and Missouri.
He played and moved around the pocket and field fine to start the game v Bama. So I don't get this "Lebby should have told us" pregame.
He walked off the field fine after the 3rd quarter. He was smiling, laughing and walking around the field talking to Russel and others after the game.
He will play v LSU.
The injury concerns should be with all the defensive players and Fluff. Those guys have serious injuries.
I think there was more info on the potential injury when Hadad and Charlie discussed it. I watched that pick 6 several times and I think it was possible that KT thought the defender was just another guy standing on the sidelines. All those white jerseys just standing there and this one guy jumps the ball.I find it funny Charlie and Hadad mention the idea of sitting him v LSU. However when it was mentioned here... some people had some strong feelings.
Referencing the show, Taylor threw the pick 6 because he didn't see the bama guy standing there. It wasn't because he couldn't run.
Bingo. Easy to do.I watched that pick 6 several times and I think it was possible that KT thought the defender was just another guy standing on the sidelines. All those white jerseys just standing there and this one guy jumps the ball.
That is the rumor, but I'm guessing it's a grade 2. Grade 3 typically requires surgery and a long time to recover. Doubt he could play at all on a grade 3 because the bone is actually fractured, the soft tissue is torn and the pain is over the top. https://utswmed.org/medblog/turf-toe-symptoms-treatment/Grade 3 turf toe is what I heard. So probably wont be back to 100% for this season, but KT at 80% is better than most.
But the tuberculosis is likely treatable.I heard they had to amputate his foot while he was battling scarlet fever after tearing his hamstring in half

It it's Grade 3, this will affect him all season. Not anything to do but just play through it as best you can. Holding him out of the Bama or LSU game won't do a damn thing to help him the rest of the season.Grade 3 turf toe is what I heard. He wasn't 80% better than most this past Saturday as he was unable to plant properly and a lot of his throws were off target. Plus, if KT is zero threat to run then our offense becomes MUCH easier to defend. Not much of a read option when the QB is unable to keep the ball. This past Saturday KT was much less mobile than even Shapen was last year. Seems like every time we have a real difference maker type player, they end up getting hurt. Still haunted by what David Fair COULD have been. We have done our best NOT to run KT much this season so he can stay healthy and he is still dinged up to the point that he is not nearly as effective as he was to start the season. Can't win for losing.Grade 3 turf toe is what I heard. So probably wont be back to 100% for this season, but KT at 80% is better than most.
He was at least 80% better than anyone else we've got. And not much worse than a health young Manning has been this year (141 QBR vs 137 for Taylor vs Bama). And he didn't aggravate the injury. He wasn't 80% better than most this past Saturday as he was unable to plant properly and a lot of his throws were off target. And i wasn't saying he was at 80% this past weekend because he wasn't. Hopefully an off week and treatment every day gets him closer to that level as the season goes along. He was at least 80% better than anyone else we've got. I thought the reference was to 80% of other FBS QBs. 30% of KT might be better than any other QB we have on our roster. No offense to Puckett, but if we have to turn to him to actually win an SEC game we are in really sad shape. He was at least 80% better than anyone else we've got. The real question is how in the heck are Swann and Rashada that freaking bad? I thought we had a decent QB room before the season started. But we've apparently got 1 even close to SEC caliber player.I thought the reference was to 80% of other FBS QBs. 30% of KT might be better than any other QB we have on our roster. 100% agree.Yeah my worry is that the school of thought that’s “rest him for LSU and then he’ll be fine” is wishful thinking and maybe not fully understanding of how difficult turf toe can be to shake.
It’s entirely possible he’s not going to really get better without surgery, and at that point your options are he plays hurt all year or he has surgery and his season is over.
I’m very skeptical that we are getting fully healthy Kamario again this season.

He's done for the season if the injury is grade 3.Grade 3 turf toe is what I heard. So probably wont be back to 100% for this season, but KT at 80% is better than most.
I mean, if LSU and Texas were next, that'd be pretty tempting. I'm not sure giving a two week break, playing Oklahoma, and then a one week break is going to be helpful.I would sit KT against LSU and Texas.
