Not only have they gutted football for Calapari and basketball, they made this recruiting blunder.

Remember Minnesota QB Drake Lindsey? Guy is a heck of a player and will be a high NFL draft pick. Has Minnesota 4-1 and about to be 3-0 in Big Ten play. What I did not know about him is that he was the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year at Fayetteville High School, which is on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Arkansas did not offer him. Did not actively recruit him. He went to high school within 500 yards of the football offices and they passed.

To make matters worse, his grandfather Jim Lindsey is a Razorback football legend. Not only that, but he was 9-figure net worth guy, amassing 40,000 apartments and 42 golf courses through his company Lindsey Management. Jim recently passed away and left Arkansas squat.

Got dang. It don't matter if you have to keep showing him which direction the offense is going down the field and he is suffering from ricketts ... you offer the grandson of a 9 figure net worth legacy every time.

Hog fans are ready to revolt. They’re looking down the barrel of another winless SEC season, which would give them a 21-game SEC losing streak. It would also be their fifth winless conference season since 2013. Prior to 2013, they hadn’t had a winless conference season since 1942.

One of his companies among other things built apartments in MS in Starkville, Canton, and Oxford called The Links and they all have a 9 hole golf course at them with unlimited use. They (The Links) are in several states in the S.E. and M.W. US including MO, AL , OK, MS, KS, NE, TN, and AR

That's probably worse than us ignoring Grisham's kid in baseball. At least we were decent when we did that, and Grisham's kid wasn't that good.

I think the fan base already has revolted. Saw a video from game day where nobody even set up to tailgate pregame

Yea, I remember this guy. Couldn't score a TD against an sec team...at home. Maybe that's why he's a gopher.

The Waltons will probably get tired of them sucking and spend 100 million on them the year they are back in schedule.
For the 1000 times. Waltons DGA17 about Arkansas. One of the daughters is married to owner of the broncos. Some of the family went to Mizz. Walton’s dont contribute to NIL like some of you all think
Tyson all in on basketball. Hell they had John Tyson at the LR TD club and he was asked about football. His quote. “Texas tech has oil we have chicken”. Dude is all in on CAL

Arkansas is the worst funded football program in the SEC currently. I know I will get those average posters disagreeing with me but it’s true. When some of you want to bad mouth Selmon remember Cohen is AD at AU and HY is at Arkansas. We have come a long long way in the last 24/36 months. More work to do but the pendulum is starting to swing our direction

I read an article about how they used to give some money but a few years ago they were backing someone as chancellor but Tyson and Hunt were backing someone else, and Arkansas went against the Walton’s. They’ve backed off even more since that happened

The Waltons, especially Helen, are very generous to northwest Arkansas. She has bigger plans than an 18 yr old that may or may not produce wins and could be gone in a year.
she is building/has built a new med school and whole health hospital. I've heard that the first 1500 med students will be free, after that at drastically lower cost than regular med school.
10s and maybe 100s of millions on bike trails, parks, etc.
The focus is much bigger community minded than UPig football program.

The Links was, and still is, an absolute dump to live at from what I've heard in the past 6-7 years. Students can play a cheap 9 hole round though on a fairly decent golf course.

Also, donors give when they trust the Department they are giving money to and how it will be handled. Arkansas donors do not trust Hunter Yurachek. The BoT of the University are kind of in a catch 22 at the moment with him because he is the chair of the college football playoff committee and The SEC would be peeved if he got fired currently while he is in that position so they are trying to avoid further pissing the conference off.

Yurachek fired Pittman last year and said that because nobody would support him and the program financially it is the reason that Pittman was not succeeding. Well Gee why did you fire him then and not go out and fundraise for him?

Starkville is going to have a real problem soon, if not sooner than soon. They started building these mega apartment complexes and dorms that lots of kids want to move to i.e. The Walk (Wingo Way and Blackjack) that has resort pool, indoor fitness center, sauna, steam room, hot tub, College View (down past the Hump where Stagger In is) huge pool and fitness center, meeting rooms, lounge and cookout area. There's a new 400 unit one being built behind Little WalMart, the Azalea dorm 412 students (where Suttle was). The problem? Who's moving to all of the older ones now that were ok for awhile? Yep, not the people that you want as your neighbors and we'll leave it at that. The Links mentioned above have had 2 shootings in the last 9 months.

It seems the Social Block (formerly College Station - IIRC) is headed that way too.

Philo (formerly Helix)
Little London

These places are pretty rough now. It's why the new ones are charging outrageous rent to keep the riff raff out.
