When does our deal with ADIDAS expire?

If we have a chance to land with Nike - we should take it.
Nike doesn't sit well with much, maybe most, of the fanbase. They've almost gone out of business as a result.

I always wondered why some posters here don't like Adidas. I couldn't care less who supplies our uniforms as long as they're not made in some Chinese sweat shop that uses 12-year olds.

Ya’ll. Adidas is the new Nike. No reason to throw a fit because ole Miss is getting the better deal. We’re still in a contract & ole miss is going into one so my thinking is when ours expires and the contract gets renewed, our contract will match or be a little less than ole miss. If i remember correctly, Tennessee’s adidas contract gave their NIL fund a boost that was needed and would expect the same for both of us.

While I agree that Nike’s financials are struggling compared to past performance, they have not “almost gone out of business.” Their trailing 12 month net revs just for the US market as of June were $20.5B.

Ummm. If we are looking for gear not made in a sweatshop, we are gonna have some screen printer in La Galleria shopping mall pushing out iron on uniforms.

Because of the sh-itty TX A&M uniforms they put us in perhaps. Then there's all of that 3 stripe European golf crap they pass on to us too as "adidas sideline gear". Skinny pants don't go over well with this plus size crew

I like how it’s “cash and apparel” lumped into one on these deals. I mean that’s a pretty significant difference. How much is each in what I’d really like to know.

Big difference. That’s like asking for a blow job and getting a blow pop.

"Mississippi State’s current Adidas agreement appears to run through 2030, and it has an NIL component, but the dollar value and exact breakdown of cash vs. product have not been publicly disclosed. That is different from the much more detailed $17.5 million deal MSU announced in 2014."

So if the 2014 deal was 17.5 (overall, not per year), I would imagine our current deal is significantly higher considering the 2009 deal was announced at 2.5 million. In 2030 I imagine our deal will be pretty similar to Ole Miss.

Our deal is very similar to their deal. That $20MM isn't money, it's everything from equipment to clothes to NIL. This is all a big nothing
I agree. Would be interesting to see all the details of how the number is derived. By the time you outfit players, coaches, and admin across all sports you can take a big chunk out of that, particularly if it’s figured at retail value of the products.

- Since Nike apparently 'almost went out of business' and is 'cratering', MSU obviously needs to run the other direction if Nike comes calling.

- Since OleMiss is now an Adidas brand, and its been a decade of SPS complaining about how terrible Adidas uniforms are, MSU obviously needs to run the other direction if Adidas wants to renew.

- Since UnderArmour actually isnt doing well from a financial perspective or a brand popularity perspective, MSU obviously needs to run the other direction if UA asks to meet. The reason that 'Armour' has a U should be more than enough to disqualify them from being taken seriously.
...though I bet a lot of our fanbase own a ton of the UA flag and military adjacent tshirts, so maybe UA would be a hit with fans!

Its clearly time for MSU to forge its own path and sign with New Balance or someone like Anta/LiNing/361.
Kidding...sorta.
- Be the first university outside of the handful in the Northeast to rock NewBalance. The only major college program with NB right now is BC...and its BC, who hasnt been relevant or even worth talking about in football or basketball in 20 years.
- Be the first university to sign with a Chinese brand. Make some damn waves and get paid in doing so. Anta is the 3rd largest sportswear company globally, and in addition to its own brand of clothing and shoes, has ownership in Wilson, Arcteryx, DeMarini, Puma, and more.

If people dont like NB or Anta as the major brand with agreements from others as needed(whatever the brand doesnt make/label), then shut the 17 up and be cool with whoever agrees to give MSU money and gear. Its not like there is a wide range of brands to entertain.
Whats left...Champion or Russell?
