That's my question, what can be done about the BOT? What's the plan to change things?Do yall know what BOT means. And do yall think I’m crazy for constantly yelling that the BOT and their appointment is and has always been the problem? Be truthful. Because if you do then you’re also part of the problem and if you don’t you need to do some research.
Nothing will change until that does. Do you keep wiping up the water from the leaky faucet or do you find the cause and fix that?

I don't know specifically how ours are chosen, but a lot of them involve politics. Some are chosen by the Governor. Some are selected by the BOT themselves but require senate approval.Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we appoint BOT in a different manner than most schools. I believe our appointment is more political and may even be part of law as opposed to appointing people that want to win and do things right. I've always been told since I was a kid that we are losing from within the BOT. Their appointment process will have to be challenged by law to be changed. And until then the faucet will continue to leak and we'll keep wiping it up as if that is the solution to the problem.
Many of us accepted that a long time ago; it’s pretty obvious. Gamecock sports become much more palatable with that mindset; it’s just entertainment at the end of the day.The question is this: what real motivation is there for the BOT to change things? Win or lose, money pours in and fans fill the stadium. No matter how bad we are, the SEC cuts a check. Our BOT doesn't have a win at all cost mentality. I think they look at more simply as it would take a massive investment to even hope to build a winner, and even then, there's no guarantee. On the other hand, we can just keep doing what we're doing which works out pretty well financially for minimal effort.
I think we just have to accept the fact, that we are ever going to be a win at all cost program like the SEC powers.
That is the healthiest attitude to have, especially now that college sports are pro sports. I look at it like following an NFL team. I want them to win, but if they don't, I really don't care enough for it to bother me for any length of time. Many of us accepted that a long time ago; it’s pretty obvious. No one thinks you're crazy for this. Plenty of us have lamented the BoT.Do yall know what BOT means. Outside of venting on a messageboard, it doesn’t take up any time out of my week and priorities. I sleep well regardless of game outcomes. There are plenty of things I value more and enjoy doing than watching Carolina sports. I'd imagine many on this board have the same mindset. On the other hand, it's okay to want to see your team improve even if it means making changes at the top. No different with any fanbase of any team in any sport. At the end of the day it's entertainment, sure. But if you're posting about it on a Carolina messageboard you probably care about it more than the average fan too. That is the healthiest attitude to have, especially now that college sports are pro sports. I look at it like following an NFL team. I want them to win, but if they don't, I really don't care enough for it to bother me for any length of time.
