East Lincoln- I wouldn't leave Dollar in the game long unless they concerned bout Stats. He built that at WI game I'd say
Bunker Hill- not sure why most people thus far picked Newton unless BH got a star player out. I guess i'll be different and eat crow maybe
Bandys- could go either way if Agee is healthy. I guess he was if Newton game was close. Nothing else gone well for North i'll go with Bandys
Hickory- to me these are 2 same size fighters bout to go at it, one is young & aggresive the other(Hickory) older but old man tough and smart

Shelby- a CLASSIC. Prob one that goes back prior WW2 not sure the history. I saw them on youtube with Crest. I'll take my chances. Cleveland Co Vibs dont fail me now

Hibriten- "by 40" only if they're being nice
Stuart Cramer- yup you guessed it, girl friends and parents in the stands with students only there to see whose house they gonna party at later depending on whose parents are out of town

Read the score tracker on the Hickory-Maiden game on Max Preps. Hickory punted 3 times and had 1 turnover on downs in the 1st half. That’s 4 times that the Red Tornadoes couldn’t move the sticks in the 1st half. Maiden gift wrapped Hickory’s 1st TD by throwing a pick at their own 9. 2 perfectly executed onside kicks later in the game drastically changed the momentum of the game.

Just saying….read it…then decide for yourself if there could be a POSSIBILITY that West Iredell lights ‘em up.

If someone said that Dollar would have 6 TD catches in a losing effort to West Iredell…I would have thought they were crazy too! But it happened!🫵

I’m sure they do…just like the rest of us.

Hickory certainly is a great pick to win the conference.

My choice of Hickory. I hadn't seen em on youtube yet, can't see em taking state due to the South Point loss and having alittle bit of a time with Maiden although not taking anything from Maiden, but this game... Slight favors. Not saying they will be a good gate sale cause people just dont turn out for games anymore.

Id like to think they have a better run D than East Lincoln did and they limit the good athletes on the below the middle teams like NL and NConover. My observations with EL/WI youtube view- EL has good(better than many) but not great run D which will be the down fall bout 2nd or 3rd round, That Spence is a beast. Really reminds me of Wingate with less quick feet but more brama bull push bout him. EL also had missed oppurtunites and those missed kicks/failed 2pt conv def made the difference in a close game, both teams overall seemed equally matched and I firmly dont believe EL isn't quite as equally matched with Hickory, so slight edge with Hickory. Hickory also dont have a Dollar on their team either....yeah this could be a down to the wire game if WI defense can hold up and Spence gets the lanes he needs.

Best 2 examples of why some games dont play out on paper, lets take a Burke history lesson shall we:

Freedom/East Burke 1998- long story short Freedom had CRUSHED teams that shut out EB during the season, CRUSHED a Watauga team that EB just barley got away with a win...on paper this match up was set to be a massacre. EB had them up against the ropes and Freedom got away with their lives with a 6 or 8 point come from behind win.

Anyone remember this one- Cherryville tops East Lincoln in a mouth dropper in 2006. That EL team went on later to play Shelby in a real tight one 2nd or 3rd round I cant remember what it was.

Foard and Bandys last week, I was like did that just happen. Of course this aint one of the better Bandys years either

Guess I said all that usless info to that this, WI could have a killer game although not on paper. But im still sticking to my Hickory pick.

I’ve pulled 3 straight Monday nighters watching stoopid football on Monday night football.
Why?…you ask…cause my fantasy team needs me to coach my arse off to win!

I do know Amario Spence Spence, Philip Maxey, and the QB Patterson go both ways. Other than that. They rotate their players on borh sides

I beg to differ, I'd say we probably played our worse game against Maiden and still put 43 points up, and we gifted y'all plenty of points as well especially in the second half, the refs put Maiden in the endzone twice with penalties, and Maiden was in the redzone a few times and could not get in as well, after Maiden scored first, then Jenkins scored and it was the beginning of a 36-point rally that put Hickory in control of the game. and as far as us not moving the sticks in the 1st half though we had 22 points in the 1st half, the same thing happen with Newton-Conover, sometimes it takes time for our offensive to get rolling it's nothing special Maiden did trust me, it happened this year a bit some early three and outs, I'm just hoping it don't happen this Friday or next, no offense but we can afford to that with most teams on our schedule including Maiden And no, we don't have a Jaxon Dollar but we got multiple skilled players that can put points on the board.

If you are basing how we played Maiden or a MaxPreps game tracker on how we will compete with West Iredell Friday, you are in for a rude awakening, if you look at the trajectory of our season you will see that we have blown teams out besides undefeated South Point, honestly a game we probably should have won as well, we could easily be (7-0) right now instead of (6-1) but at the Maiden game that is all great coaching, onside kicks was used to get the momentum we needed offensively, and we didn't trust that Maiden could move the ball without the refs help beside the first drive, and no offense but we knew we would blow Maiden out, without a doubt, I honestly thought we would score 50+ that's why Glass took some of those risk I believe also, I understand WI beat Maiden 37-0 and you feel y'all played us better so West will light us up, I think people are excited that West Iredell is winning or that maybe someone can might take Hickory out because they could not do it, we are the defending conference champs until someone changes that and if it is changed we want be dethrone by a Catawba county school, But the game has to be played in the HKY, not at West Iredell. And West Iredell only real test was East Lincoln and that was on their own field after EL put themselves in a hole. I get Maiden feel confident after 43 points went up on their new scoreboard last Friday, gave y'all some confidence, and I hope it did, Good Luck the rest of the way though.

I'm still picking Hickory and said before and forgot to say that WI was not tested til EL but Id say Maiden gave them some test in that shutout, and EL could have and prob should have won in a CLOSE one. Can’t help but chuckle…heck!…we all thought Hickory would win by 50!

The point of my post was….i wouldn’t bet the house or my retirement with Hickory getting 21 points. It’s as simple as that.

A game like that every single XP could critically matter. If they played 5 times in a row EL would prob win 3 or 4 of em. WI still a force that’ll give Hickory the best game since South Point
