No hate against Peacock, but I wish we could go back to the days when everything was just on the TV. The only saving grace is that signing up for Peacock is also useful for NU basketball season.

There's really no way to spin the proliferation of livestream only games as good for fans. It's a trend that has given us Kansas City Chiefs playoff football on Netflix, #1-seeded Detroit Pistons Game 7 on Amazon Prime, and the entire city of Chicago unable to watch their baseball teams in the wild card round without subscribing to the 'cock.

But on the other hand, money, so... get used to it.

(Not to digress too far here, but one of the "even a broken clock is right twice a day" things I like about the Save College Sports Act is the requirement for free local options for home markets when games are otherwise streaming only.)

People said all of this about putting games on cable TV back in the day. What do you mean I have to pay for ESPN to see a playoff game! And now we're used to it and we think of games on cable/satellite as the "free" games. Streaming-only isn't great, but it'll become the new normal before long.

Yeah, resistance is futile against the streaming pirates and they're just getting started.

I really don't want to pay these mofos so normally I force myself to visit my sports bar of choice, but since it's starting at 9 AM, I can't even do that this time. Dilemma City!

That last part doesnt help the fans living outside Chicagoland. Idc for home games, I will be there, but away games? Sucks

Anyway I spend a lot more at a sports bar than the streaming cost, and I dont want to sit there 4 hours. I've done it, but prefer not

Streaming only (unless you get NBCSN) for the Fitz revenge game.
Styre, I get NBCSN on my Spectrum plan, so I assume that means I can get it, correct? (By the way, our regular tailgate fell through for the homecoming game. I found another one in the Isabella lot, but I can't tell you how to find it yet, but maybe you can call me on game day and I can give you directions. 1 814 881-0941. Well be there no later than 8:00 am.)

AI says its exclusively streaming on Peacock and so I won't be able to see it on NBCSN on Youtube TV.

Turns out it doesn't matter as I will be in West Point that day to see FAU play Army. That should be cool! As I've told some on there, my son does all the creative content (video, photo, social media) for the FAU football program, so we are going down to see him (and his team!).

I’ve subscribed to Peacock and other services to watch games/events but frustrating having to bop around.

I assune Fitz is fixated on this game and will have the Spartans ready. Ball State first, then the Spartans. We need to win the next 3 games before we hit the heart of the schedule and to stay healthy.
Fitz may be fixated but his team and his coaches are horses***. NU will roll over MSU

I don't think Spectrum carries NBCSN. As far as I know the only cable provider that carries it is Xfinity.

And sure, I'll reach out on Saturday. Thanks!

My Spectrum guide says I get NBCSN so I'll test it today. Flying to Chicago tomorrow and hope to see you on Saturday in the Isabella lot.

WHat is frustrating is that you get what is supposed to be an al inclusive sports package and some how they get around it and for a game you suddenly have to find some other method of seeing it

Those are the old DirecTV channels for NBCSN before it went off the air. They haven't carried the network since it came back last year.
