I just read some more of the 'scariest places' thread, and the mentions of the woods at night, plus a couple of military stories, reminded me.
I took my son (13) to see Brad Pitt's new movie the other night. I had zero expectations, but it's pretty awesome. Great cinematography and visuals, lots of peace and quiet but also a lot of action. Reminded me a little bit of Call of the Wild. It does have some scares, some violence and a couple of gruesome injuries and whatnot, but my kid loves that stuff so he was fine. He thought it was great.
If you are former military, if you like to hunt, fish, or camp out - see it. If you have a dog you love - see it. If you have a son and want to share that stuff with him - definitely take him to see it.
