It’s actually a few spots higher than I expected. It tells me the perception of the team is still favorable.
Actually its Miss St that is being protected. Run out at home by #7 Bama and drop one spot. #14 Iowa gets beaten up at home by fOSU and drops 6 spots.ESPN/SEC monopoly projecting a trash Florida team as a playoff team, lol
Yeah. Losing by 33 POINTS cost them all of... check that... ONE SPOT down to 16th in the rankings. That's unbelievable.Actually its Miss St that is being protected. Run out at home by #7 Bama and drop one spot. #14 Iowa gets beaten up at home by fOSU and drops 6 spots.
Terrible loss for sure but probably seen as an unusual aberration….. and I agree because MSST is very good IMO. Still, a one spot decline IS indefensible given the MOV.Yeah. Losing by 33 POINTS cost them all of... check that... ONE SPOT down to 16th in the rankings. That's unbelievable.
It’s both. Circular over ranking claiming higher SOS. Higher SOS to justify over ranking. Etc.Actually its Miss St that is being protected. Run out at home by #7 Bama and drop one spot. #14 Iowa gets beaten up at home by fOSU and drops 6 spots.
I'm the last guy to be sounding off about SEC bias, but Florida's move last week and now the lack of a move in this case is really baffling. It also highlights the difficulty that a 10-2 B1G team might have getting into the CFP this year. A 10-2 SEC team will definitely get the nod over a 10-2 B1G team and there's a real possibility that a 9-3 SEC team could as well.Terrible loss for sure but probably seen as an unusual aberration….. and I agree because MSST is very good IMO. You may be right. I really don’t have much interest in media polls until roughly half of conference games are played …near the end of October …..which roughly corresponds to the initial CFP rankings release date ( the only poll with significant weight ).I'm the last guy to be sounding off about SEC bias, but Florida's move last week and now the lack of a move in this case is really baffling. And it should be right NOW. NO ONE in the media or here thought we'd win and we were a 14.5 dog, which is almost exactly what happened. It’s actually a few spots higher than I expected. It tells me the perception of the team is still favorable.
Wait, just a few days ago, many disagreed when I said the SEC is getting a variable ranking over B1G like they do every year, pre season and throughout. Did this just change?I'm the last guy to be sounding off about SEC bias, but Florida's move last week and now the lack of a move in this case is really baffling. No. As I recall you were mostly talking about preseason bias. The SEC is better than the BIG this year. There's no doubt in my mind or the minds of most voters. I'm sure that's being factored in, but some of these anomalies seem questionable for sure.Wait, just a few days ago, many disagreed when I said the SEC is getting a variable ranking over B1G like they do every year, pre season and throughout. That fine. I'll just disagree that the SEC gets a bias pretty much every year. They may have a year where they should have a leg up, but its pretty much the same every year regardless.No. As I recall you were mostly talking about preseason bias.
