Wuh, huh, duh,Wuh?
It did against OSU in 2017........So, color of clothing determines wins and losses?
Huh.
Yeah, they just look plain as hell.Near-run disaster against Iowa State and then a pants-pooping (maybe that's why we wore the black pants on Saturday..........) against Ohio State.
That's enough mixing up the uniforms for this year, unless it's to bring back 1956 throwback unis.
Do you have a better explanation? And color is one one ingredient in fashion fetishism...So, color of clothing determines wins and losses?
Huh.
It was actually ‘58 I think, but I agree. Great unis!Near-run disaster against Iowa State and then a pants-pooping (maybe that's why we wore the black pants on Saturday..........) against Ohio State.

I would argue that the "busy" stripe pattern on our jerseys (actually a combination of 5 stripes, alternating black and gold) doesn't match the stripe pattern on our traditional gold pants (a single, wide black stripe). However, we've seen the combination for about 50 years now, so it looks normal to us.The all black pants with the traditional home jerseys just looks stupid. The sleeves on the jerseys are too busy to be paired with the solid black pants.
You can't just cram a pair of alt design pants with jerseys that weren't designed to go with them. So dumb.
Plus, I do believe in juju, and these pants are bad juju.
That's a good point. I think that's probably a part of why I feel strongly about the solid black pants just looking dumb with the traditional home jerseys. There's one pant and only one pant that it goes with and that's the gold with the thick black stripe. It's been the visual hallmark for 55+ years.I would argue that the "busy" stripe pattern on our jerseys (actually a combination of 5 stripes, alternating black and gold) doesn't match the stripe pattern on our traditional gold pants (a single, wide black stripe). However, we've seen the combination for about 50 years now, so it looks normal to us.
I'm just saying nobody would mix and match Iowa's (or Pittsburgh's) jersey/pant combination when creating new uniforms today.
Solid-color pants match as well as anything, if you ask me. But that's just my opinion.
A. It was actually 1960, as we broke them out during the 2010 Ball State game in honor of that team and the Evy era.It was actually ‘58 I think, but I agree. Great unis!
I don't care if it's pink as long as they win.Do you have a better explanation? And color is one one ingredient in fashion fetishism...
This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!if the pants color has that big of an effect, then we have larger problems to deal with
Nah, we're never wearing those f***ing abominable 2012 alt unis from the Purdue game ever again..............I don't care if it's pink as long as they win.
