We have Franklin, West Hend., and Tuscola the next 3-weeks so we should know exactly who we are through that stretch and if we are going to be able to play clean enough football to compete with better competition.

They play Smokey, Franklin and Pisgah next 3 weeks. If they win or hold there own especially against Franklin they will be a problem.

Oh yeah I know nothing about them. I’m sure they are a good team, I just don’t think they would like that draw. However it won’t end up like that. Win or lose tomorrow Cramers RPI will go up. We have a 0.000 in the second category because we haven’t played anyone that has won a game yet.

You guys aren't gonna end up with a 17 seed obviously. But IF you did, I'd definitely take y'all outta the top part of that bracket over the others.

As for the lower part of the bracket it would be Burns & West Iredell playing.

But again this isn't anywhere close to what it'll look like start November

I could see that. Just speaking from our conference, I think Burns, Lincolnton, and Cramer are more talented and better than last year, and Shelby is Shelby.

As for us, we’re a year away from being more competitive and right now playing sloppy/carless football to boot. It seems like we’re currently up higher than a team of our record should be. We’ve beaten a very down Swain team, younger than us North Henderson squad, and a yet to be determined Mountain Heritage team. Of the 3 teams that have beat us they have 1 loss combined so that’s what is propping our RPI up. We’ve just looked really bad against all 3 of them.

I think overall talent is down in alot of places, but you have teams like West Iredell, who are much better than they normally are. A lot of haves and have-nots too.

Pisgah has a tough game to win in Tuscola, and then finishes up with East Henderson and Brevard. Control what we can control but our RPI will probably drop even with wins in those last two games.

I think a lot of this comes down to whether or not they can learn from the two close losses against Shelby and Burns and put it all together against Lincolnton. I don't think we get a bye first round, but could see us bumping up enough to host a first round game before getting on the road.

Word is N Moore stopped their last game in the 3rd quarter last week and the season may be over?

Let me take a step back too. I am not saying we definitely go in there and win that second round game. What I am saying is that if a team receives a bye then sees Cramer as their second round opponent and then looks around at some of the other potential second round opponents, I don’t think they are going to love their draw.

A big problem with the mountain schools is judging the competition and how good they actually are. The competition that the Cleveland/Gaston/Lincoln schools provide is far greater than that of the mountain schools usually.

More times than not, teams come up the mountain and have speed they are not used to. Sometimes the mountain teams handle it well but sometimes it turns bad. Franklin was undefeated one year and Burns went to the Panther pit and beat them pretty good.

That was to East Lincoln but that honestly had more to do with how poorly Pisgah played than what East Lincoln did.

I’m not making excuses because I’ll openly admit when we’ve got our butts kicked but that night we beat ourselves in a lot of ways.
