What did we learn week 7!?!?!

[LakeCtyNewt]

Chalk continues or so it seems. The good are good the bad are bad.

1 - That Dupec got its welcome to the Big Northern moment
2 - That when you think you know in the WSC Silver you really don’t.
3 - That LwE and LwC hadn’t met in a while - Central may not wanna meet for a while again
4 - That Mt Sterling (Brown County) owns 1A South right now.
5 - That Stockton just might be the kings of the NUIC
6 - That Lake Zurichs defense has found itself again.
7 - That Mt Carmel is getting healthy and that’s gonna make a lot of teams unhealthy
8 - That the it ain’t over until it’s over award goes to Richards
9 - That IC Catholic is unbeaten but how unbeaten are they? Will find out this week
10 - That if Geneva found a defense they could be dangerous.

Ta ta for now - Go Bears

11. That Plainfield S submitted its application to join the SPC West.

12. The White Sox are something special this year. How Special?

Stay tuned....

Mt Carmel wasn't healthy?

So you don’t think Calhoun can compete with BC?

Right now, I think BC is better.

[crusader_of_90]

That it is too late in the season to transplant Plantz.

[McCaravan]

Been missing out best tackling DB but not much outside that. Samuels rolled an ankle vs PC in the first Q but his backup is really good

[Swansa01]

13. Galesburg might hang a bazillion points on Rocky next week.

How much will Rocky score against a porous defense? If they're clicking it will be another LOOONG game!

[AlabamaTimberwolf]

Given that Calhoun gave away last seasons game against Brown County and Calhoun has more returning than BC I will go with Calhoun!

I just can't get too excited over the Bears and Jets after yesterday's game.

The problem with the Caravan isn't injuries...

[AlabamaTimberwolf]

Galena will run the NUIC for the next few seasons... The King is dead... Lena will fall back for the next few seasons...

Oak Lawn still can’t win the big games. St. Laurence isn’t done yet. Anybody missing Gately Dogs?

Gave away is putting it kindly.

They more then likely won't beat Marist, it will come down to DePaul in week 9 if they get the 3rd W. I'm rooting for them, Swanson is first class.

Didn't come as a shock to anyone to see him at the MC game looking for the scoop or to see if he was there. This really wasn't the game of the week for media interest.

Not very considering how awful the AL is.

They are on a great run for what they have. Ahead of schedule by probably 2 years. However, they are getting a cake-walk to the ALCS. That's awesome, but it's also a bit of fools gold

After three 100 loss embarrassing seasons including breaking the mlb record for losses in a season , I'm perfectly fine with some fools gold!

Nothing wrong with that at all!

Even with a couple injuries, their talent level is insane. Hope they don't pull it all together this year.

That, with no new knowledge, we may have seen the conclusion of MJC's high school career already.

The total for the game could very well be in the 90's...like a 60 something to 30 something. I don't put Rocky's O on the same level as Quincys.

To beat Loyola, Mt. Carmel will need to stop Maldonado. Mt. Carmel's defense should be up to the task. Cullen Winters, the returning defensive back, can anticipate how a play will develop. Ty Kennedy, our dynamic tight end, would also be outstanding as a safety. Ty Kennedy would have stopped McGee and is one of the guys who could neutralize Maldonado.

Maybe, but not the nostalgia.

Maybe, but not the nostalgia.

Girl from El Paso says to me, "you never had a gondola from Avanti's?" And took me that weekend. The good ol days...

Sorry, you missed that by a few years. Owners of R-Place sold a while ago. Some new random restaurant in the truck stop now.

Damn!! Bread would have gotten me, 100% confident I could get the meat and vegetables.

Owners worked at Avanti's while they were in college. Been open in downtown Morris for about 40 years now. They used to sell them at football games back in the day.

[Edgytim]

Not gonna lie the last few times at Avantis has been disappointing. Corleones might be the better way to go.

I'm glad I saw this - I had one a few years back and couldn't figure out the draw...We used them as a fundraiser for baseball and raked in money in the Springfield area, but to me it was a sandwich with bad cheese that you could make at home.

Nostalgia sells.
