At the end of the first half in the Bears' 27-9 preseason loss to the Bengals, the situational awareness of Logan Jones stood out to Ben Johnson.
With 12 seconds to go and no timeouts to spare, Case Keenum hit JP Richardson for a 19-yard gain over the middle. Before the play even ended, Jones could be seen sprinting up the field to get in position for a spike.
"Kudos to Logan Jones. He's the guy I highlighted to the team. Just how quickly — once the ball was out of Case's hand — he was already up, ready to get that ball spotted and snapped as fast as he could. For a young player to be that smart and aware of the situation, I was really impressed."
