Nah. Hope is playin' us this year. She's gonna let us get a lead in the second half for sure. Diabolical.
I was fixing to say, a few years off there sport.Bear Bryant died in 1983. Last game was the 1982 Liberty Bowl. The next year Alabama beat us 35-18 in Tuscaloosa.
But hey, you were really close...
Uh, no. Just no.I dunno. I would take Croom against Alabama any day before Mullen and Alabama. If there is one team that Croom could get ready for it was Alabama. He might have only been awake all week for the Bama game to win that one
And Bama lost 12 games in the 8 years Mullen was at State. Most of those to top 5 teams.Easy big fella. Let's not forget that Croom coached against Mike Shula and first-year Saban trying to clean up Mike Shula's mess. Alabama wasn't very good. Hell, Louisiana Monroe beat Alabama during that stretch.
A lot of people forget Bryant retired from coaching before he died. He remained Bama's AD and hired Perkins, but he really wanted Gene Stallings.Bear Bryant died in 1983. Last game was the 1982 Liberty Bowl. The next year Alabama beat us 35-18 in Tuscaloosa.

Name any other team you felt confident that Croom could beat while at State.... Sure wasn't Maine. At least against Alabama, I knew Croom would have our guys ready to run through a brick wall for.Compared to Louisiana Monroe...
Fun fact: State also lost three times to Alabama under Croom and was outscored 79-20 in those games.Name any other team you felt confident that Croom could beat while at State.... Sure wasn't Maine. At least against Alabama, I knew Croom would have our guys ready to run through a brick wall for.
16 years since the Saints won the Super Bowl and got crossed off the list.It was 16 years between the 80 and 96 wins. They've beaten us 16 times between the 07 game and this year. We're ranked #16. What does that mean? That we are bad at beating Bama in football.
Go ahead and come to terms with it. It will make Saturday afternoon less painful.
You won’t be able to tell me nuthinCounterpoint: what if we blow them out?
Then our rather large gift to the SEC Referee Benevolent Retirement Fund worked!Counterpoint: what if we blow them out?
20% of the time, it works every time**If it works every time, you've really been screwing us over for a long time.
You need to hydrate better son!

Same here but we must have a healthy K1 and Fluff. In fact really they need each other . Also we’re gonna need the O Line to give Kamario more time and at least play a good bit better. Fluff has made so many blocks so K1 had enough time to throw the ball accurately. I didn’t even know before the bama game that Kamario was gonna be struggling that hard. Also Fluff was listed as probable before the game so yes it was very bad to lose that. With an extra week off and a lot of treatments hopefully Kamario and a lot of players a lot of them will feed much better.I want to abandon hope but I just can’t
We’ve all seen this movie before but Kamario has me blind with hope.
Holy hell, how did we miss this clownI dunno. I would take Croom against Alabama any day before Mullen and Alabama. If there is one team that Croom could get ready for it was Alabama. He might have only been awake all week for the Bama game to win that one
Yes I was drunk, and at the troughs when we had the 100+ pick six. All I am saying is Croom had our players ready to play Bama more than any coach in recent memory.Holy hell, how did we miss this clown
M17er is a dipshlt or he wasn't old enough to remember back then
I remember how hopeless things felt on this day - until the Johnson interception!
Just wish Croom had worried more about building a winning program than "respect."
