Class A: Elkhorn South (3-3) at Creighton Prep (3-3)
- This feels like a now or never type of game for these two programs (for this season). I think the Storm, as we saw this past Friday, are capable of putting together a little run down the stretch and making some noise in the postseason. Prep, well, a bit of a roller coaster. Could be a good game, could not be..
Elkhorn South: 34 - Prep: 17

Class B: Aurora (6-0) at Scottsbluff (6-0)
- Big time class b matchup with two great programs. The difference, so far, is Auroras strength of schedule... They've beaten a few more quality teams (Ralston, GINW). I think this could be a great game, physical, for sure. At SB.. Matters?
Aurora: 30 - Scottsbluff: 28

Class C1: O'neill (4-2) at Pierce (6-0)
- O'Neill has come right along, winning a few impressive games. Pierce, from week 1 has been my C1 dark horse, if you can even call them that. I think this one will be a physical bout, with some solid coaching from both sides. The Bluejays, though... Just too much in the end.
Pierce: 34 - O'Neill 20

Class C2: Wilber Clatonia (4-2) at Fillmore Central (5-1)
- Good for these guys, don't know anything about either of em. I think that WC's win last week over Lincoln Lutheran was solid. Fillmore is a tough team, too. Upset alert.
Wilber Clatonia: 27 - Fillmore Central: 14

Class D1: Sutton (4-2) at Elmwood Murdock (4-2)
- Strength of schedule probably gets both these teams into the playoffs; however, seeding will matter. This one is an important one. A "must-win" in my opinion.
Sutton: 36 - Elmwood Murdock: 26

Class D2: East Butler (6-0) at Shelby Rising City (6-0)
- This is a big one for the D2 class. Is EB able to get it done? Playing with house money, that's for sure. That one HD father on here will tell ya that the only reason they lost was due to injury.. Maybe he's right? Shelby Rising City maybe suffered an injury last week (hope for that kid it's not bad and he's fully healthy and ready to play). Could matter, however. Back and forth, lots of points, SRC pulls away late.
SRC: 48 - East Butler: 32

Class D3: Burwell (6-0) at Twin Loup (5-1)
- This will tell us more about Twin Loup. Burwell has already sort of been beating their chest this year - Twin Loup, with only 1 quality win (anselmo-merna) is a bit untested. Got blanked 38-0 vs Central Valley - But that does show that their Defense is pretty solid. I think this is a fantastic match up with two really impressive teams. Toss up.
Burwell: 26 - Twin Loup: 25

I sure as hell hope that Sutton doesn't bring out that stalling offense they have!!

I think EB and SRC are pretty even athletically. The combination of Eickmeier and Vrbka is as good a 1-2 punch as any. I think Shelby wins this one in the trenches. EB's offensive line has been average at best, mainly in part to inexperience. Kozisek is a very patient runner, and with the physicality SRC plays with up front, I'm not sure they'll be able to get the QB run game going. Backup QB (co-QB1?) Fencl may be the best choice as the better passer. Spread them out wide like they did to HoDo and see if they can't win a track meet.
