Hampton Roberts shot -2 today at the US Am
Sandhu currently -2 as is Shiel Donegan
Murray finished at +1, Bertagnole there through 10 as well
Rosich is +5

[TAHeel]

Donegan and Bertagnole birdie their last holes to at worst make a playoff for matchplay. Sandhu played his way out.

Trending to them being completely safe, +1 is already up to t41 and +2 is t69 and dropping. Might get an epic playoff at +2 though

[uncjhodges]

Bertagnole 2 up through 13
Donegan 4 up through 6

Round of 64 matches

[uncjhodges]

Bertagnole 3 and 2

Good result, personally think Bertagnole going to be our best player though

Bertagnole is not a chiseled athlete, but he is a damn good golfer.

NSD went 2-1-1 as GB&I upset USA at the Walker cup

do you know if he is injured or sick

[Jriv23]

do you know if he is injured or sick

Good question.

[NYHeel92]

I bet the Walker Cup was pretty grueling and draining. Why not skip this early season event and see what another guy can do. It seems like we have 4 or 5 guys competing for the last 2-3 spots so there is value in more of them suiting up in the Fall. It might simply be that he was a bit fatigued.

[uncjhodges]

insane performance by Oklahoma State, they won by 28 shots. Note that Stout, Fang, and Poulter played but seems like they all struggled a little bit (for them)

[uncjhodges]

Bertagnole is teeing it up in Asheville at the Biltmore Championship this Thursday
Gerard is playing at Wentworth- stacked field

Freshmen playing well so far.

[unc80]

Looks like we struggled today, but still held onto a tie for third. That's a very nice showing against that elite field.

[NYHeel92]

True but crazy thing is we were +9 the last two holes. So it was actually another excellent round except for the end. Like you said, really good performance at this elite tournament. There were ranked teams at +40’s. We finished +12. Great to see.

[unc80]

Started 2 freshmen, a soph, a junior and a senior. The future looks bright.

Nice weekend paycheck for David Ford - tied for 3rd on PGA tour in Utah.

This appears to be his first event of 2026 and the $354,000 paycheck vaulted him all the way to 140th in the rankings. I tried to read up on rules for what would give him exempt status next year. It’s complicated. I think top 100 would do it, so he would need another $350k-$400k in the remaining 6 or 7 events.

[TAHeel]

Best round of the day today (with 3 counting doubles) to finish 4th
