No answers. I check just about every day, to no avail. He's still in the Portal according to the Tracker, if you want to keep checking. The internet has no answer to those questions. I hope some of you do. Thanks.
Thanks. It just seems really, really weird that there's no news out there, and practice is under way with games in about a month. Last I heard he was considering Gonzaga and a couple other schools, but that was months ago.No answers. I check just about every day, to no avail. That's the thing: He was available months ago, well before school started, and yet nobody knows what happened with him. It's just really odd. I mean Banks is a helluva player. He's not just some scrub.I have no facts or insight on the details of this situation but it would seem logical to me that teams may not want to bring someone in so late, especially if the newcomer has just one year left. The potential downside of disrupting team chemistry may cause a school to pass IMO.
Exactly. I understand that now it's probably to late. But as you said he's been available for months and he is an absolute junkyard dog. I loved him at Drake and he was willing to do all the dirty work at Iowa. Don't understand any of this. That's the thing: He was available months ago, well before school started, and yet nobody knows what happened with him. It's just really odd. I wonder if maybe the incident at the brewery a year ago is hampering his selection. That's the thing: He was available months ago, well before school started, and yet nobody knows what happened with him. It's just really odd. I mean Banks is a helluva player. He's not just some scrub.
I dunno. There are plenty of far sketchier dudes than Tavian Banks in every college sport. It really is a major mystery to me.I wonder if maybe the incident at the brewery a year ago is hampering his selection.
Honestly, I think the most likely answer is that Tavion Banks just didn't want to be in college anymore. But you can't really say that publicly, so we got various PR spins instead. Plus, it's always smart to keep options open, or at least appear to.I dunno. There are plenty of far sketchier dudes than Tavian Banks in every college sport. It really is a major mystery to me.
Take it FWIW, I had heard that grades/credits were an issue at one point. Not sure the validity of that, so don't shoot the messenger. It would explain why the staff seemed to be set on last year being his last with the Hawks.
