With Beamer as our coach, and this loser coaching staff he has assembled, I do not see another win this season except Arkansas. By the time we roll into the Tater game our players will be so demoralized that the Taters might score 60 points on us.

Beamer is in so far over his head that I actually feel sorry for him. He is smarter than you think. He managed to get a head coaching job in the SEC as a TE coach with no experience. He turned one good season into a $27 million payday with his buyout. He played Tanner like a fool. He will never have to work again, and he should never work as a coach again after this debacle.

Tanner is cashing those $1 million checks every year while all of our men’s sports suck. Beamer will be relaxing on a beach somewhere drinking tropical drinks while we all pay his buyout for years to come.
The thing I can’t wrap my head around is that some of you people say this loser coaching staff. The most baffling thing here is that in rushing yards per game and total offense, we are top 10 in the nation this season last season we couldn’t even crack the top 100.

Statistically this offense is night and day from where it was last season. The one thing that I can’t put my finger on though is why that is not translating two more wins.

Yes.

Arkansas is the first choice. A&M looks like its a possibility. Clemson is bad, but so are we.

I see us winning 2 more.

I wouldn't say any win is a sure win now.

And as the season goes on, we could lose the locker room, giv8ng us a collapse.
Nah I’ve got Arkansas, OU, A&M, Clemson. That puts us at 6-6. Here’s the thing. It would be the most South Carolina thing to do to beat Florida next week. Last time we won there I think was 2014 when we got Muschamp fired there lol

Because our defense gives up a lot of big plays I think. We cannot stop anyone on third and long.

Not sure we win another one with our secondary. We look like we're a man short!
Every team will be throwing the "wheel route" for a TD until we stop it!

Yes... with an "if" in front of the reasons.

If, the O can clean up the drive-killing unforced errors and execute a bit more precisely.

If, the D can find some guys to consistently cover opposing receivers.

There are obviously other areas that need improvement, but they could have a 4-1 record right now if these hadn't been so prominent this season.

But, if nothing changes, why would one expect the results to change?
After 5 games this is who we are.
It's hard to foresee significant improvements under this staff with nearly half the season played out.

We're gaining 400 yards a game between the 20s but can't score. Stupid penalties, bad 4th down calls, etc.

When we do make a good play and get in scoring position we have no idea what to do. This leads to the wrong players in the game, cannot get the play in, cannot get set, false start, or then we have to burn a TO or take a delay of game. This is just poor preparation and poor coaching.

Worst case just line up and run the same play again, it is better than losing 5 yards or burning a TO.

It's in our heads at this point. Everyone in the stands knows it, everyone watching on TV knows it, the announcers talked about it, surely the players and staff know it. I predict a couple more collapses this season, the other games we won't even be competitive.

CU's D is currently ranked 93rd nationally.
It's still early in the season.and the stats can be skewed by one poor game which they had against LSU. However, if you watched their subsequent games, their defense has played much better. If they hadn't, Clemson would probably 1-4.

You did notice the score from last night?

i did more than watch their score. I watched the game. Miami scores on everyone and Mensah is probably your Heisman winner at this point. Clemson's defense made plays through. Their defense through 3 Quarters was definitely enough to give us trouble. Context matters. I am talking about how their defense matches up against us, not a National Championship contender.

ROFLMAO, if SC could pick the qtrs to count, they would be at least 4-1

And don't forget, Miami had a number of starters out with injuries that didn't play last night and lost another during the game. Top RB and WR among them, IIRC.

Face it, the Taters are as bad as Carolina, that will be quite a game 2-9 SC vs 4-7 taters!!

Except the taters play a much easier schedule. They will be bowl eligible, and still be playing. We may very well fold weeks before that game is even played.

We will see, taters will fold like a cheap lounge chair if things continue to go bad, Holes should have beaten them!!

They are improving, but one glaring difference is that they are not stout strong with their physicality like they used to be. South Carolina overall might have the physicality advantage over clemson this season.

Quite possible. But I actually agree somewhat with adcop, as dirty as that makes me feel. Miami scored 17 in the 4th quarter, and 24 in the first 3 quarters.

It looks to me like they wore out a clemson D that had little help from the offense. And we dont have miami's or LSU's talent.

I can easily see us struggle with them.

And I think you underestimate the weakness of the ACC. They will play similar or less talented teams 4 or 5 more times.

Isn't that what Dabo says after most of their conference games?

"We had a hell of a practice today!" 😄

Nothing like scrimmages to pad the record. (y)
