I like it. Beat Mom and Noah. Should help fill him with confidence. Of course Noah won last year and could never perform when the game lights came on. But this kid did really well as a flat out scorer as a freshman (almost 18 points a game) and fair on 3's, 32%. I bet he can tick that up this year.

And our 7 footer ndye will probably be our 3rd or 4th best 3 point shooter.

everyone who competed beat noah......why people keep acting like he is a great shooter is beyond me. its year 3....
This. Noah’s career shooting percentages stink, 33% on threes and only 39% from the field overall. And that ain’t for lack of opportunity, he’s had two full seasons and plenty of open looks in which he could’ve proven himself.

So why people here keep talking like he’s a deadeye shooter is beyond me.

Yeah....Noah had a hot month-ish his first year....and then was stone cold down the stretch his frist year.

Last year....he was below average all year long.

1. I said his first year.
2. Regardless of first 30, last 30,e tc...Noah has shot 33% 3pt land 2 years with a good amount of playing time at UK. That is not elite shooting no matter how you want to slice it.

I don't get it either. People just seem to think "Hey, Reed Sheppard was a Kentucky kid and look what he did! Trent Noah will fill that spot and we'll force him in there if we have to."

Trent is what he is until he proves everyone otherwise - a good end of the bench player that can come in every once in a while and make a shot.

i actually dont think he will make that shot.....he has never really made that shot when it mattered. its more likely he will get a rebound or a loose ball than make a needed shot

I think his transition to SEC play especially on the road along with zoom is how this team goes, Milan is a catch and shoot guy so someone has to create for him and these 2 need to fill that role.

He took 51 threes last year. His first 30 he hit 40% on.
How was he the last 21 when the defenses were actual defenses…and not Tennessee Tech? Hes an absolute one trick pony that sucked at his one trick when it mattered. I want him to succeed, but it won’t cloud my thinking. He needs to be better.

Didn’t realize he’s 6’6”. Smooth. Good ball handler. I like having 2 ball handling guards like he and Diallo on the floor.
Gonna hafta prove he can take the pounding in the SEC. Hes rail thin for an SEC guard. For reference, Jaxon Robinson was 20-25 lbs heavier and maybe an inch taller.

But can he even do that? He failed badly when we gave him the chance to do that in SEC games last year.

The only reason his percentage even reached 33% is because of the shots he hit against cupcakes at the beginning of the season. He couldn’t anything after we later started playing legit competition.

from the start of december to the end of the season, trent made just 9 threes. and a third of those came against NCCU. 21 games of essentially nothing.

That might have been the lamest “madness” I’ve ever seen. They should have paid people to sit through that snooze fest. Oh KAT is here? Cool.

Trent Noah is a good utility player, that's it. If we're depending on him to be a difference maker, we're in trouble.

If he comes in and knocks a couple shots down, keep him in, he has great basketball instincts, but if he continues to miss, you can't keep him in.

I'm hopeful that he lights it up this year, maybe it's a confidence thing, or it's the pressure of being a Kentucky kid playing for UK, either way, I hope he turns into an unexpected weapon. I'm not expecting much out of him.

I liked what I saw from our key guys though, as long as everyone stays healthy, this team should be elite offensively, it's going to come down to defense and that's a big concern for me.

This team will score. Probably average in the 85 ppg range.

How many will they give up is the question.

There is no question they won’t be a good rebounding team. The defense will be bad. Just how bad no one knows yet.
