Pitt and VT are 2 terd places, coached by 2 terds, in a terd conference.
Northwestern would beat VA Tech by 3 TDs.
Neither team is good. Franklin is lucky he's in the ACC but then couldn't beat Pitt after they lost their star QB.

Now I'm sure you wish we'd lose our starting QB but if Howard plays against Pitt we're competitive--not saying we win but it's not a 3 score game
The accidental head coach. That's not an insult. He fell into the job by default and did a decent job, so the made him permanent. Sometimes things just work out.
He's already exceeded Virginia Tech's win total last season. VT fans are a much happier bunch than Penn State fans. Seek help for you Franklin Derangement Syndrome living in your head rent-free. Who would you say is having a better season right now Penn State or Virginia Tech????
They aren't--I work with 2 Va Tech fans that thought they were about to run the table then they were texting me all Friday about how awful Franklin is.
I don't have an issue with Franklin--I wanted him here until the Northwestern loss but then he had to go. I hope he does well in Va Tech as he's a good coach--he's just not one that's going to win a title. Ever.

How? He was my top choice when we hired him. I think he's a good (not elite) coach that simply wasn't capable of elevating the program to the next level. He's another Richt (who I also liked) but it was time for him to move on and for Penn State to move on. I wish him well at Va Tech but I also know he's limited on what success he'll have there. Not sure why you think I hate him. I never wanted him fired until the Northwestern loss (not even after UCLA) but the moment he lost that game he had to go.
Anymore, it feels like every thread on this board turns into this, with King Lando as John Cleese (and usually Ludd as Palin).
