Going into the game Asheboro was 5-0 and N Guilford 1-4.
What a wild scoreline. This has to be a classic Strength of Schedule situation. NG has played a much much tougher schedule. Asheboro surprised Scotland early in week 1, but since then has played much weaker opponents.
NG is young in many spots, but I'm assuming was just much more athletic compared to Asheboro.
Who has insight on what happened? Who was there?

Not shocked at all. Knew at some point that easy schedule would catch up to them. Scotland County and Richmond County are no where where they use to be. And Asheboro i know didn't play Richmond just making a statement about how the well has run a little dry. Just like last year when Asheboro was seeded high and Dudley went in man handled them with ease. Randolph County teams are a little down Randleman struggling,Eastern Randolph a little down. So it happens sure those teams will get it fixed. But Asheboro are not who you think they are.

I do agree, but wouldn’t have expected a blowout.

True. That was a shocker the amount of points they put on them . A running clock at that as well.
