Don't get me wrong - I'm still flying high over the win. But something needs to be done about these late game clock-related screw ups by the refs and/or the officiating process. Could this not have been reviewed? You can see from the sequence of these two frames that UK definitely got the snap off before the clock turned zero at the end of regulation. The ball is already snapped and in Minchey's hands and the clock still shows 0:01 unless the refs are using another "secret clock" a la the Week 1 Michigan game. Why would the SEC not have ability to review this before OT is declared? I don't know the rule for sure - but I seem to recall (maybe incorrectly?) that as long as the center has started to move the ball (i.e., the snap) then the play is underway.

All that being said, I like the way the game ended MUCH better than even if we had gotten that last play off in regulation and completed a Hail Mary to win the game. The immediate decision to go for 2 was such a program-defining moment.

Snapping it before the clock says 00:00, and spiking the ball before the close says 00:00, are two different things.

He didn't spike it though. If the snap was in time we should have had the opportunity to throw to the endzone. If it was reviewed after being blown dead which it absolutely should have been then we could have gotten one more play and the FG option would have been available.

Oh, I see. I could have sworn I saw him spike it in real time. I thought the call was that he spiked it after time had expired. But, I suppose this is what we should expect from SEC refs.

The completed pass on the next to last play was a mistake by Ky . Should have gone for out of bounds or end zone = but the South Carolina defender made a great play.
Baxter was a beast in OT - picked up 19 of the 25 yds needed. I love our backs ,Tight ends , Big BLue wall & receivers.
Great to be able to see UK Football fans happy again 💙

They also let the clock run for 3 seconds when we called our 2nd timeout, missed Sellers stepping out on his long run, and overturned a good catch.
What bad calls did they get??? Winning while getting screwed 3 times rarely happens.

There's almost no chance that the teams were lined up correctly. Even if there was a second left there almost certainly was an illegal formation, which would have resulted in a penalty and ended the period.

Here is video of that snap. Everyone looks lined up to me. There was no flag and that would not have been a reviewable penalty so if you review it and rule it was snapped in time that would be an inadvertent whistle and Ky should have gotten an extra play and could've attempted the FG.

Live, it looked like he got it off for sure.

Darbys gotta let it come out there.
Minchy shouldn't have thrown it to that spot. Air mail it 12 yards out of bounds if you have to And if nothing else if you're Darby smack that baby into the ground.
Learn and move on.
