I remember it being fun to watch at one point (I stopped when Corso made a pedophile joke after Sandusky) but this is embarrassing. Does anyone actually like this?

ESPN highest paid guy . Has a podcast , YouTube makes a lot of money . Punter at WVU, place kicker punter for the Indy Colts . Amazing pro stats. Had a talk show in Indy . Did a stint in the WWE . His ESPN daily show gets a lot of top notch guests . Saban oddly enough is on a lot. He’s had Campbell on this year . Western PA guy working class family . Wanted $1,000 to go to a kicking camp to get a scholarship. . His dad said 1k , you can pff off. He then had to scrounge money to play in a bar poker tournament . Won money to pay his tuition to go to the kicking camp and got his WVU scholarship. He’s crazy , but at times has some good stuff . Players and coaches talk openly with him . Love em /hate em kind of guy with his strong personality. I like him in small doses . Not so good on the game day show.

Basically Pat is there because men under 30 love him. That's the target audience not me or most of us here

The target market for these shows - all of them, including just about anything that ever appears on ESPN is - to cite an appropriate example "The Rick"

Nothing against OUR "The Rick", but it is a targeting of the absolute lowest common denominator "Idiocracy" level market.

I mean good Lord - even the folks actually covering the GAMES, the actual live games, not the studio show and various jabberwockeries - like the Pimp-costumed guy who was broadcasting Friday's PSU game:
Are you kidding me? It is often like having tag-team clowns doing the "PBP and Color". But SOMEONE must value that? I can't imagine - for the life of me - how. I can only picture Frito from Idiocracy when I think of the target market for sports, especially on ESPN.

I actually clicked and watched the thing Midnighter posted.

OMG - words fail.

All I can say is Idiocracy was overly optimistic.

This is - literally - dumber than "Ow, My Balls!". And they are NOT trying to be a parody.

Stunning.

There is no such thing as "Too stupid for sports fans". It would be impossible. This is proof.

Makes the PSU game "Color Man" Pimp look like Socrates.

This^^^ I find McAfee obnoxious and unwatchable. But, at 51yo, I realize I’m not the target audience anymore. I don’t watch and ESPN doesn’t, and shouldn’t care.

The target audience is now the little man/he man complexers who are "to stupid" to go to school. It's the mentality of "pipe wrench, SOB, gimme a brew".

The sneakers with suits look kills me on these guys. Either wear the full uniform or don't. Hopefully no one here is sporting a short sleeve dress shirt under their suit.

That reminded me of a far dumber version of your average TV evangelist. Pathetic and embarrassing. Im surprised Clark didnt just walk off stage. I cant imagine the other people on stage there were very amused.

Whether or not you're a fan, he's making about 17M a year playing a role
I can't stand him but I give him full credit for finding a way to be relevant and popular.

As stupid as the show is, at least antivirus could pull off the shirt pull-off. Had I or someone who looks like me tried that, Jesus.

Up next will be the execution of coaches and players at half time for poor performance. At PS fed to the Lions? We Are the modern Romans college football even has a Colosseum. After all the easiest target market is the Low Volts.

Short sleeve shirts are typically the federal worker look.

Correct. Just because you are popular does t mean you’re skilled.

He was a skilled punter then created a second career
Why are you angry about it? Give him credit--I don't like him but I acknowledge he's made the right decisions to build his brand

I’m not angry. Just saying being popular can make you rich, you don’t have to be skilled or educated in your field I agree he made good decisions.
