All of the eyes of the nation were on us, and for once we lived up to the moment, unbelievably impressive
2 blowout wins against P4 teams and giving the defending champs a scare in a 1-score loss should count for something, no?I’d think so, unless the take away is that Penn State sucks. Which could also be true too.
Yes but inertia is the strongest factor of all.2 blowout wins against P4 teams and giving the defending champs a scare in a 1-score loss should count for something, no?
I do think PSU sucks but they were ranked last week and we are 3-1 with a last minute road loss to the national champion and kicked the crap out of 2 power 4 teams and well as a recent FCS national champion. And we did this on prime time network TV.I’d think so, unless the take away is that Penn State sucks. Which could also be true too.
But we're better than those teams.Depends how currently ranked teams do. We'd have to leap over a bunch of teams.
#25 Missouri will probably lose. #23 UCLA plays #14 Oregon though who knows on that one, UCLA has looked better than Oregon. We’ve got Wisconsin at #26 who will probably beat MSU.Depends how currently ranked teams do. We'd have to leap over a bunch of teams.
I legit think we're a top 15 team (and I legit thought we had a chance at Indiana going into that game, which is why I created that thread), but I'm expecting 20s next week.#12.
That is always the takeaway anytime we beat a team.I’d think so, unless the take away is that Penn State sucks. Which could also be true too.
I think if a couple teams ranked in the bottom 10 of the top 25 lose, we should be in for sure. Especially due to our dominating performance. We just need to stay healthy and we will have a great season!Depends how currently ranked teams do. We'd have to leap over a bunch of teams.
Mizzou (#25) plays Florida (#8) today, so it's a pretty good bet the #25 slot will be vacated.I think if a couple teams ranked in the bottom 10 of the top 25 lose, we should be in for sure. Especially due to our dominating performance. We just need to stay healthy and we will have a great season!
Enough teams in the bottom tier of the top 25 are going to lose to get us at least the 25 spot, perhaps higher.Thinking about this today. Think about how many voters saw the game. ALOT. New stadium, only game on, dominant performance. That might do it
Minn is a tossup with us. They might lose all 3 in a row after Purdue. P might beat them tooObjectively, I think Minny's back to back conference wins over then-ranked Washington and now Michigan steal some of our thunder, especially after Colorado is almost certain to get walloped for the third week in a row later this evening.
Looking ahead, though...we should be favored in our next three, while Minny catches a break with Purdue next week but then has Iowa, Indiana, and UCLA.
Should be about equal. Washington road win decent but they’re really not good, pedestrian win over 1-3 WSU, 2 point win over Utah St. Between Mich and PSU I can’t decide who is worse than their recent baseline but we destroyed PSU all 60 minutes while they battled it out for a 1 score win. Mich has had more publicized problems this year than PSU.Minn is a tossup with us. They might lose all 3 in a row after Purdue. P might beat them too
That Simmons qb fellow for mizzou is really good. He is a legit nfl first round prospectAlso #25 Missouri destroys Florida, the latest SEC top 10 entrant.
CO 7 TT 3 at half.Objectively, I think Minny's back to back conference wins over then-ranked Washington and now Michigan steal some of our thunder, especially after Colorado is almost certain to get walloped for the third week in a row later this evening.
Looking ahead, though...we should be favored in our next three, while Minny catches a break with Purdue next week but then has Iowa, Indiana, and UCLA.
"Nothing matters less than the score at halftime."CO 7 TT 3 at half.
Doesn't matter at this point in the season. But we're better than those teams.
More like 30 but a couple more wins should do itSomewhere between 20 and 25.
We had all of one vote after last week. We would have to jump over about 15 other teams to get into the top 25 and many of them won,Enough teams in the bottom tier of the top 25 are going to lose to get us at least the 25 spot, perhaps higher.
That said, David Braun’s Wildcats are 16-1 when leading at the half (only loss was Duke)."Nothing matters less than the score at halftime."
Whoa, impressive statThat said, David Braun’s Wildcats are 16-1 when leading at the half (only loss was Duke).
The flip side isn't as sweet as Braun hasn't had many comeback wins training or tied at the half....he has 19 losses to date. He has 22 wins so......That said, David Braun’s Wildcats are 16-1 when leading at the half (only loss was Duke).
Too many of the other teams won and hardly any of the 20-25 lost. At this point in the season it looks like somewhat of a long jam in the 20 to 30 range as teams who were extremely overrated like Michigan and PSU are making their way down while other teams with pretty good resumes like us are making their way up, but there’s not quite enough games been played to differentiate. We certainly couldn’t complain about any undefeated team ahead of us. So of the 1 loss teams, I’d say SMU’s resume is highly suspect. Houston’s is probably similar to ours.Apparently not. #30 in both polls.
