More like the other players were playing against Prevent when Heck went in
No they weren't. Why do people just make sh*t up? They have eight guys in the box on half the plays and all but a deep safety within 8-10 yards of the line of scrimmage. The majority of the starters were all still in, including starting D line and their top defensive backs.

And he was sharp and decisive with a quick release and right on target. Brown was under more pressure but was missing guys. KF can be too precious protecting his QB1's feelings. Heck should have been getting some snaps all along.

It wasn't prevent as in drop back with nickel or dime but they did play soft and linebackers just dropped.

Again, no they didn't. The linebackers didn't "just drop", they were playing it straight up. Go back and watch. It's amazing how one or two posters can say something incorrect and then everyone just takes it as fact. They even brought #6 the corner on a blitz one of the plays for Christ's sake.

Up 31-6, O$U played soft ( as they should ) the rest of the game.
Bullshitt. They didn't play soft, you KF apologist. Hecklinski threw tight spirals on time and with perfect accuracy. Brown never threw one such pass all day, and Heck did it against coverage that was just as tight as it was all day. Hell, Brown missed WIDE OPEN receivers all over the place early in the game. Had he hit those, it would have been a much different ball game. Even the completions Brown threw were wobbly ducks. He often held the ball too long, thus the fumble that set the tone for this one before everyone was even in their seats.

Brown made a play last week that was memorable and brought Iowa a stunning win. But this week he was exposed. If the two QBs were "neck and neck" as we were told, then there is every reason to start Heck on Friday night @ Washington. Let's just see if the OSU performance was a fluke or if this is the guy this offense needs. Or will KF do his KF thing and ignore the pathetic performance of Brown AND his TWO turnovers and sacks. KF loathes turnovers, but when HIS guy commits them, he has a blind spot. Ask Akrum Wadley among many, many others.
