2025 UK was garbage: They hired an OC from elite program (Oregon)

Anyone notice how UK, even though it sorta looked like we had better or bigger/faster athletes maybe, were still edficient and poised? How everything looked COORDINATED? Notice tbey kicked the FG for overtime knowing how bad we have been in the red zone, which is all OT is?

I dont know but somwhow a coordinator from an elite program has taken a team we were far better than a year ago….and has already surpassed us

Not great. Its year 1 for him taking over a terrible team…..yet they are 4-1 and about to be ranked around 20-22nd
And their defense is not that great either. I just did a quick scan of stats, & Sellers had the worst stats v. UK of anyone they've faced. And this was a home game for Sellers.
Just wonder where this team would be if we had a QB like Rattler running Briles' offense?

Would Rattler have receivers that can catch the ball? The only one we seem to have right now is Mazeo. Probably would not have had to go into OT if Harbor doesn't drop that slant at the end of regulation. ....and why does Tuggle even play? Dude has dropped almost every pass thrown to him.

Good question...and does confidence in your QB play into this?

In all fairness to Sellers & Briles, we did lose a couple of WRs before the season started to injuries.

Mentioned this in a conversation last night. It's almost strange watching a game with well coached teams. It's definitely an a ha moment. "So this is what it's supposed to look like!" I've been watching bad Carolina teams for way too long. It's just not fun anymore. The apathy is here and it's real. 45 years of watching this mess with endless loyalty and optimism may be enough. NIL coupled with the terrible product on the field has killed the joy and optimism for me. I used to care for the players, but it's just a failing business now at Carolina. Kids and coaches making millions to lose games in multiple ways just doesn't hold my interest. Carolina will always be my team, but for my sanity, it may be time to spend less time and money supporting them. My new attitude is get back to me when you fix things and at least look like you know what you're doing. Unfortunately I know that may never happen consistently in my lifetime. I'll still analyze the box scores, and monitor the score, but for now, it's time to step back and just enjoy top 25 football instead of feeling angry every weekend after watching Carolina lose in laughable fashion. I really don't get mad anymore and that says a lot.

I'm with you. I used to plan vacations around our schedule. Now I'm almost at the point of just checking scores Sunday morning and reacting accordingly...yes, we won or more likely, dang we lost and going on with my day.

Yep. Just eye test but it seemed we had better athletes but UK was efficient, patient, looked almost inevitable. Like how a coordinated plan should look.

Stops buyout was $37.7 million, $10 million more than Beamer, yet they found a way to get it done. UK is the poster child of what happens when you get rid of the dead wood and hire the right coach.
