The Athletic Director needs to pull Shane Beamer aside and speak with him privately. He should be told that after addressing the team, he needs to remain in the locker room and not come out until the team has left because there is an important matter to discuss. He should also be told not to report to the office Monday morning, and that his personal belongings will be sent to him.
Make it clear that nothing is official yet, but changes will be made immediately. Let him know that everyone believes he is a good person, but ultimately he is not the right man for the job. After six years, “Beamer Ball” has run its course, and many feel it should have ended two years ago.
Acknowledge that he has a family, and that the $27 million payout from the university will provide long-term security for them. It can also be said that there will likely be opportunities available for him in recruiting, special teams, or similar roles. However, he should be advised not to pursue any more head coaching positions, whether at the college or high school level, because that chapter appears to have passed. NIL and the transfer portal were not enough to make “Beamer Ball” successful, and it may be time to let that approach go.
Still, he is a grown man, and he should be wished well in his future endeavors.

He will not have to be advised not to pursue anymore HC positions. That will handle itself. Although I wish he would and that he would get one as that would help reduce the buyout payments. Unless they screwed that up too.
