Importance of winning the “gimme games”

What is hurting Pope and Kentucky back so much is that they are losing the games they should win. We forget that it was set up to finish as a 4th seed in the conference and get a double bye in Nashville if we would have beaten Florida. But it was the losses along the way that killed us.. not the loss to Florida. We should have beaten Georgia and Missouri at home.. no excuse. We should have beaten Auburn on the road. You get those 3 wins and you end up probably a 2 seed in the conference. With a healthy Mo.. you beat North Carolina. Win those 4 games you should have won, and you have a 3.. maybe 4 seed. It’s the gimme games we need to start winning again to become good again. We do that this year!!! Go Big Blue!!

We were totally robbed against Auburn because the officials wanted to see the home fans go home happy.

Sorry, but Kentucky is better than the Titans. My whole point is what is separating us from being closer to our goals and where we want to be. Rewatching those games.. we were ahead in the closing minutes until the very end. Roster was good enough to win those games.. just didn’t close. We close this year because we can shoot and will have a better offense

Wins are wins. You have to be tough enough to close those games out. We were tough enough against lsu and Tennessee. The team didn’t have that mental toughness to do that last year and is true.. a picture of who we were.. inconsistent. All I’m saying is that it’s not as far away as many believe. We win those 4 games.. we have a pretty good team considering injuries. I think we have what it takes to win those type of games this year.
