You know I was kinda shocked that when Cramer scored and went up 22-21 with what like 5 mins left that they didn't go for 2 there and try to make it a 3 point game. Couldn't believe they just kicked the XP. You gotta go for 2 there always

I spoke with #22 after the game. Great young man and my lord he’s a monster.

I never expected a blowout and it was the kind of game I thought it would be. Burns made big plays when they needed to and missed a few opportunities but credit Cramer for their defense to eliminate those opportunities. Damn good team. We got the blocked xp early in the game which was the difference.
Your kicker got us one time with roughing but the ref saw him flop the second kick and said no sir. He tried it again at the end and the ref just shook his head. Smart on his part as a kicker. I have a feeling we see you again. Hope 4 was ok. He had to be carted to the buses. Safe trip fellows.

I spoke to 4 after the game, and I think he will be fine. Thanks for the kind words.

That decision to not go for 2 and Cramers decision to take a shot that Burns picked off and returned for a pick 6 with 16 seconds left in the 1st half instead of just running out the clock up 10-0 was the difference in the game.

I’m still pissed we blew by the one guy we needed to block on the screen to Max. Perfect play call and the one guy we needed to block made the tackle. lol Nothing but green grass. I came out of my seat. So many would have and could haves but I cannot believe they took a shot before half. I looked at my wife and said, are they about to take a shot instead of taking a knee??? Pick 6

Cramer is a couple plays from being undefeated... they are a dang good team...Burns like us, had to suck it up and pull one off at the end....

They will see each other again I think for sure

Throw West Iredell in that mix too. I went and watched them tonight. They run the ball as good as anyone and their QB is a great athlete. I don’t think their defense is as good as Burns or Cramer, but luckily for them they don’t have to face Dollar again.

I agree West Iredell is gonna be a problem in the 4A playoffs

I’m not going to do that because I know what it was like before he got there. I will instead said Burns made the plays when they needed to and I wouldn’t be surprised if I make another trip to Lawndale before basketball season.

One more thing I wanna add to the Burns / Cramer game.... Ryan Sisk.... He's missed some kicks this year but that kid stepped up and hit the kick when Burns needed it which ended up being the points to win the game. Incredibly proud of him!

One more thing I wanna add to the Burns / Cramer game.... Ryan Sisk.... He's missed some kicks this year but that kid stepped up and hit the kick when Burns needed it which ended up being the points to win the game. Incredibly proud of him!

Both teams have strong kicking games which could be very useful come playoffs.

Good luck to you guys as well. Great atmosphere last night and was a well played game between two really good 4A teams.

So now Burns has all but earned a bye in the 1st round of the playoffs. And possibly get 2 home playoff games, we currently sit at # 4 in RPI in the West. I don't want to take the Cherryville game for granted but most likely at the least have set up a conference championship game with Shelby the last week of the season. IF Lincolnton beats Shelby, Burns will already have at least a share of the conference title as long as we beat Cherryville & Highland.

Cramer will need to beat Lincolnton to have a chance at a bye in the 1st round of the playoffs, and maybe a little help. Cramer is currently sitting at # 17 in RPI in the West if my math if correct. I don't see anyway that Cramer has any chance to get at least a share of a conference title at this point. Cherryville & Highland would both have to beat Burns, Cramer would have to beat Lincolnton, and Burns and Lincolnton would both have to beat Shelby for Cramer to have a shot at that.
