Game Thread: Northwestern vs. Penn State - New Ryan Field opening!

[Deeringfish]

That John John is having a great game

[BosCat]

Time to break out the wheel route.

[TheC]

Huge to get them off the field on their first drive!

[eddie_gocats]

Good job D… let’s put them away in this drive

[SouthportCat]

Jon Jon Stevens looking better than Walters right now. What a game he is having

[Deeringfish]

TD on this drive and NU breaks PSU's heart

[JustGary]

Now that they adjusted for run, time to break out the passing game.

[Drilcat]

Chiles time!!!

I think that must be what happens when you have a really good secondary room. Competition, maturity, etc

[JustGary]

Got to put this game away

[bringbacktherantboard]

It's made to be cleaned with a fire hose.

Can we paint it pink when Iowa visits?

[Deeringfish]

KOMO!!!!!!!!

[AdamOnFirst]

I mean, holy ******* ****

[Deeringfish]

No negative plays

[AdamOnFirst]

****

[TheC]

Why get cute?

[Deeringfish]

I wish they had taken the FG. That is a victory for PSU.

[eddie_gocats]

Dangit

[AdamOnFirst]

Chip and Jerry didn’t like Chiles’ decision there

[Fanaticat98]

Aaaaagh that is not good. Too cute. Still giving them hope. We had 6 inches should’ve just sneaked it, burned more clock.

[bringbacktherantboard]

Outsmarted ourselves on that 4th down.

[Deeringfish]

Bad call on Braun.

[jensberg]

Well that fourth downplay was just stupid

[freewillie07]

Chip and Jerry didn’t like Chiles’ decision there

What should he have done

[BFDCat]

Stupid play call, just sneak it

[AdamOnFirst]

I thought Sawchuck clearly got it in third TBH

[Fanaticat98]

D has to buck up again. Can’t let them back in the game. Turnover time

[HawkCat]

Bad call on Braun.

Chip is making that call.

[Fanaticat98]

Yes I think they should’ve challenged but those are always tough in the scrum

[JustGary]

First time I think Chip was overthinking. A sneak woukd have done it.

[AdamOnFirst]

What should he have done

I’m not 100% sure. I rewatched the play after I saw Jerry and Chip both bark at him. I think maybe they wanted him to go to the outside where Sawchuck was more open. Honig was also open over the middle kinda but that’s behind the play. I’m honestly not sure. But both Chip and Jerry were pissed.

[jensberg]

Let's hope that bad call on 4th down is not the turning point of the game

[JustGary]

These penalties are really b coming a team problem

[AdamOnFirst]

That is so ticky tack

[Deeringfish]

Chip is making that call.

Braun is the HC and needs to see that emotional reward of a FG far outweighs the momentum shift of a failed attempt.

[Fanaticat98]

Strap your helmet on Johnson

[Deeringfish]

Lucky on that one, but there was some pressure.

[AdamOnFirst]

Ok, nice job defense!

[Deeringfish]

Good play on Wagner to call the foul.

[Fanaticat98]

Lucky there an accurate QB would’ve thrown a TD

Now gotta churn the clock and SCORE, come on guys
