We probably won’t see the Pinstripe Bowl in late August.

Why? What else could they use it for? The National Frisbee League?

But, they also play NFL, college and high school games in those areas at that time. Florida, Carolinas, Texas, Arizona, etc.

Interesting. Traditional bowl sites tend to be unbearably hot at the beginning of the season.

People going to the Motor City Bowl will be thrilled
But, honestly, we're just going to see big games in cities like Seattle, Philadelphia, DC, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, etc who have large(r) stadiums and would be a good place for games. Like Atlanta and Dallas already do most years.

Add to the declining viewership that moms are holding their boys back from football and pushing kids to soccer and more notably of late, lacrosse. A few years ago Denver University won the Lacrosse national championship. That was wake up. An eastern sport heading west like that doesn't bode well for the future of football. In summary football has peaked.

When does LAX or soccer start getting enough attention to be a major sport in the US? MLS is on par with the WNBA--probably behind the PGA, UFC/MMA, NASCAR and maybe even WWE (wish I was joking)
The NLL and PLL are way behind. I love LAX--I played one season (club level) in college--phenomenal sport but that was almost 30 years ago has passed since then and most sports fans probably have never watched the NLL or PLL

The fact that LAX went west so fast was noteworthy. But moms are backing away from football for their boys. CTE is not sufficiently being addressed, and it's hurting entry into the sport. Youth participation in full contact football is down 25% or more since 2010, while flag football is gaining participation in that age group. Flag ball is also attracting young girls
