Whose moronic idea was it to put an out of bounds fence on some of the holes just a few feet into the left rough? Idiots!!! Does the tour have anyone with brains and common sense? Seeing as they hired this Rolapp clown, i would say no.

The location of the OB sticks doesn't cause you to go 0 and 5 in matches. What an embarrassing day for the U.S. golf team.

US pitching a shutout so far this morning. Need to keep it going. They’ve gotta figure out the foursomes portion.

They have been terrible at foursomes since I’ve been alive. The Europeans are just flat better at playing as a team, especially playing one ball alternate shot. It’s like if they don’t hit it from the same spots they would normally hit it from on the course they forget how to score. Seems like the Internationals are taking a page out of their book for once.

Makes me wonder about the preparation. Euros always seem to compliment each other. The US not so much.

Yeah, the U.S. guys are brought up being cut throat singles players. They have friends off the course but Europeans build team work from the start even as kids. They prepare their best young talent for the Ryder Cup early on.

I’ve heard folks on the GC talk about the extremely thorough analysis that the Euros have. Not sure what it is, but it works really well. Seems the main criteria for the US is playing with your buddy. Agree that’s a factor but do their games complement each other.

I just think that unless each of them plays the same ball or hit it around the same distance they shouldn’t play together. The shorter and long hitters never work well. They don’t hit similar clubs they are used too. The ball makes a huge difference to them as well.

I heard them talking about how much playing a ball they don't normally play has a major effect on the American players.
I play balls I find in the woods and tall grass. It doesn't change my terrible game. So I can't relate.
Do all the foreigners play the same ball all the time? Are the range balls different for the American players, based on preference?

That may be something they take into consideration and why they play so well together. I just know the Americans have always been thrown off by that. They do buddy parings vs. thinking of the ball being a bigger issue imho. I play Pro V’s but that’s just because I’ve always used them. There are many great balls now that are similar though. Volvik, Vice Tour, TM TP5X, Srixon, legato, and Kirkland you can find some ridiculous deals on Tour quality balls now. You can get 100 mint Pro V 1x’s on Amazon now for $125. Crazy deal for a ball that was hit maybe once on the range for a tour pro.

Amen Brother lol. When I was younger and only fairly decent, could shoot 85-90 on most any public course, my company hired a former Nike tour golfer who had played a couple of PGA events. I had bought a new driver and I heard a slight rattle in it, so the first time we went to the range he watched me hit it. I was hitting it 300-305 but always leaking it right. He takes it and hits one 340 dead balls straight. I was 6'2" 225 and he was 5'7" 160 lol. He looked at me and said "It ain't the club" lol. Not the ball either.
We played a tough course that day. I shot 89. First time he played it, shot 63 playing it down lol
