I ran it on Sunday. Things get a little cleaner Monday night. But the change wasn't enough to change their seed.Leo is listed at 3-2 but is 4-2
You did a great job btwI ran it on Sunday. Things get a little cleaner Monday night. But the change wasn't enough to change their seed.
Thank you. And you are correct. 1828 is the smallest 7A squad.Great stuff. Wheaton Warrenville the biggest 6A team?
Well this will look different for sure, especially after calhoun and bc play each other.
These seedings were taken directly from the Playoff Outlook on the IHSA website. So, is the IHSA wrong?Based on the CPL rules some of the teams listed in your bracket will not qualify for the playoffs even if they have 4 wins. Only the top two teams in the white divisions are eligible for the playoffs and only the 1st place team is guaranteed a spot. So a team like Schurz who is 5-1 would not be eligible because they are currently in 3rd place in their division. I may have missed some, but these are the teams that I saw that are in a white division and not currently in 1st or 2nd place
Speer, Richards, Hubbard, Schurz, Rauner, Longwood, Dunbar, Bowen, Julian, Orr.
Yes and no. The IHSA site is wrong in listing any team from the white as having clinched since that can't be determined until conference play is finished. They are correct in listing all teams that can technically still get 1st or 2nd in a white division in the Outlook because those teams are still eligible at the time being. These seedings were taken directly from the Playoff Outlook on the IHSA website. They acknowledge the CPS “rules” the outlook page but they don’t seem to be following it, but I didn’t dig super into it.These seedings were taken directly from the Playoff Outlook on the IHSA website. So, is the IHSA wrong?
That rule is daf. I asked Pruitt years ago about that & he said those schools would get killed in the playoffs. I said 80% of CPS teams already do in the playoffs so what’s the difference? I said plus they don’t even get in the city playoffs which is stupidBased on the CPL rules some of the teams listed in your bracket will not qualify for the playoffs even if they have 4 wins. Below is the wording from the IHSA site that notes only the top of two teams from the white are eligible. It has been reported elsewhere (Soucie maybe?) that the 2nd place teams from the white are not automatically eligible, but instead they need to win a play in game in their week 9 crossover.
At the request of the Chicago Public League, all teams in the Chicago Public Red Conference — comprising the Red Shield, Red Star, Red North, Red South, Red Southwest and Red West divisions — are eligible for the IHSA playoffs. Additionally, at the request of the Chicago Public League, the top two teams in Chicago Public White Conference divisions (White Central, White North, White South, and White West) are eligible for the IHSA playoffs.
The guy who used to do this every week accounted for that and pulled the 3rd place teams out of the Outlook.Based on the CPL rules some of the teams listed in your bracket will not qualify for the playoffs even if they have 4 wins.
