Could Beamer hire Stephon Gilmore as an analyst

[gamecox4982]

to help with the backend of the defense? What better person to help get this fixed?

I'd prefer the scenario where Beamer isn't hiring anyone.

I have jokingly suggested in the past that we should bring Gilmore back as an attitude coach. Dude was nasty.

EDIT: sorry, I was thinking DJ Swearinger

We need him on the sideline like Miami has Michael Irvin.

That is a great Idea, If we have the resources, not only would that help their fundamentals, i am sure it would be a benefit recruiting GOOD DB's in the future..

Would be a bandaid on a festering wound.

What we need is another Dayarlo Jamal Swearinger Sr. That is what is missing from our program now. Someone who will lay the wood like Ray Lewis and play lights out. Sadly, our team has no grit.

Yes. While the defense was still talented in 2013, it has never been the same since he left in 2012. He was a 3-star recruit from Greenwood. People here often attribute Spurrier’s best season to some “elite in state talent”. That’s got some inaccuracy in it and usually it seems people are mostly thinking about the Rock Hill products & Lattimore. DJ doesn’t get the same mentions. His type of presence is greatly missed.

You are correct sir. I read an article recently and apparently he is in the boxing profession now and doing quite well. Would seem about right.
