It doesn't sound like you've seen the actual video.

Can you look at this and say what he did was "aggressive"?

If Wilson hadn't overreacted and lost her mind, nobody else in the entire arena would have even noticed the guy.

I saw it. As I said, if he stayed in front of his seat and had not moved out in the aisle he would have been fine and Wilson wouldn't have noticed either. Why do you think his wife was pulling him back to his seat?

Stephen A. Smith dropping truth bombs.

He hilariously points out that it was, in fact, Wilson who was walking towards the fan and not the fan towards her.

Getting out of your seat, leaving your row and moving toward the court is aggressive.
Had he stood up, stayed in front of his seat and pointed and yelled, he would have been fine.
He was fine. He didn't have to leave or anything else.

Apparently, "pointing" is what triggered the princess snowflake. Women, geez.

She's a marginalized person of color. Her experience is different from yours. She's faced abuse and criticism at every level of her life.
I forgot about all of that. Thanks for pointing out how callous and unthinking I was.

I also forgot about her genetic PTSD from slavery and the fact the man was white would certainly trigger deep painful memories of her people's time in bondage.

I apologize for my insensitivity.

I accept your apology, however she does not. I've also been told it was not a temper tantrum, but instead built-up cries from generations of systematic oppression.

Yes, what he said does not qualify as taunting.

Video evidence shows he was not walking. It shows he barely even took a step.

He did point. That seems to be the point of contention.
I never understood heckling players but refs are fair game….lol

I get it. Every time I tried to tell people about my uncle when he fought at the Battle of the Bulge with Patton, I have flashbacks. Lol

I watch Raven Johnson and Aaliyah Boston when I get a chance. I admire them and they brought me many joyous moments during basketball season because our men’s team was not doing well. So here in the silly season, since our football team is having some struggles, it was nice to see Raven doing well these past few games.

Why do white people even go to the games. Don't they know the black girls in ?NBA don't even like them. The rules state she must be ejected and suspended, but I guess that won't happen.

Men are constantly shamed because WNBA players don't make much money. Shouldn't that be on women? There are more women than men. Shame on those women!

What about enjoy the game and leave those girls alone. The neon green dildos are part of what has the girls on edge. When you have a guy walking up to the edge of the court pointing, you don't know what he is going to do. Both parties bare some responsibility here. A'ja over-reacted. However, why are you getting out of your seat from 3 rows back to address the players. I know what would happen to me at the Spectrum Center (Charlotte) if I got out my seat in Section 103 and appeared to be angrily gesturing at the players. I would be hauled off immediately and lucky if I was not roughed up a bit by law enforcement.

Here is crystal clear video of it. "Walking up to the edge of the court." < Never happened. He was at best 3 steps away from his seat "Why are you getting out of your seat from 3 rows back...." < Never happened.

It was A'ja who LEFT THE COURT to go after the guy. She should be suspended indefinitely. And fined. Big time. But of course, because of the complete and utter hypocrisy and double standards, that won't happen.

Facts obviously dont matter. The video doesnt matter.

Just exactly like that situation with the guy at the bus a few years back.

Playing victim is all that matters. And hey, the ?nba got some more clicks out of this! Not a finals game, but their player throwing a temper tantrum over nothing.

And it'll be a long wait for a train that never comes if youre waiting on that league to discipline her. Hell, they're all in the back cheering that they got in the news again.

Want to apologize to you for one thing, adcoop...

This sentence : "why are you getting out of your seat from 3 rows back to address the players." - Could be interpreted in a way you didn't intend. I will concede he was indeed, roughly, 3 rows back from the court. - He did indeed get up and address A'ja. - If that is what you meant, then you are correct, and I apologize.

Based on your other sentence about "walking up to the edge" - immediately followed by the "3 rows back" comment, the brain naturally wants to combine the two so it sounds like : "He got up from 3 rows back and walked all the way to the edge of the court." - That's what it sounds like, but you never said that. Again, my apologies. When I'm wrong, I say so.

To answer your question of why? - Because he can. Even the security, after review, let him back in and he continued to watch the game from what I've gathered. Now, when you take that into consideration, that the security reviewed it, and let him back into the game......then you're only left with one conclusion: A'ja completely, completely over-reacted, and in fact, it was HER who was the aggressor. It was HER who left the court to go after the guy. - She had no business doing that. Can you imagine being a professional basketball player but are so thin skinned that you can't handle someone pointing at you and heckling you.... at a real game???? That has been going on for decades. She, and the other girls needs to get over it and play ball. And even if you don't admit it here, I'm sure deep down you probably agree.

Again, adcoop, I apologize to you if I misinterpreted your post. (I believe I probably did misinterpret - at least that one sentence) It just really gets under my skin when the video clearly shows it was A'ja who was the aggressor, and then SHE doubled down on the BS in her post game. It's like people can just re-write history and expect to get away with it. ~ It really burns me up. She's making herself out to be the victim, when she wasn't. Sorry for the long post.

You're correct, I missed the lady grabbing his arm, but he was not moving forward. He had taken a small step forward but had stopped.

It's laughable that this counts as "taunting". And even so...so what? Stuff 10x worse than this happens in every NBA game every night.
Pointing is taunting in WBB. Do some research.

She made a fool of herself last night

She sure did. Most of the reports are that the guy didn't say anything offensive. He just stood up and pointed at her. Many tried implying that something racial was said but it wasn't. She acted like Beamer did in the Bowl Game.

Not sure if sarcasm. Both statements were said, and regardless of order, both being said paint the same incorrect picture.

Edit: Okay, I think I see this point. The "3 rows back" comment is easy to see on the camera, even comments about the pointing and yelling. All that is easily corroborated with the video. But the "walked up to the edge" comment is obviously incorrect when you view the video. So maybe that statement was a hypothetical, and not meant to portray this exact situation?

Even Stephen A. Smith won't defend her. Says the guy did nothing wrong. He points out that not only was the fan not walking towards Wilson, it was, in fact, Wilson who was walking towards the fan.

When you've lost Stephen A. Smith. You've lost.

Much ado about nothing.

Yes, it's funny to see people get all worked up about it as if players arguing with fans is something we've never seen before.

She lost her cool, likely because of the way the game was going. She got the technical and that sets up a big game tonight for WNBA fans.

Let's see, I think that's from page 12 of the liberal playbook. Make a big deal out of something and then when others comment on you making a big deal out of it accuse them of making a big deal out of it.

Y'all are nothing, if not consistent. I'll give you that.

Don't forget that the league is ignoring its own rules by not suspending the player. Rules for thee and not for me.

What page is that? I don't have this playbook you reference. LOL

I've made a big deal out of it? Is this your 4,521st WNBA post?

The liquor bottle is not an answer for you. LOL Have to give credit where credit is due.

Here is Spike Law jawing at Kelsey Plum. He takes 2 actual steps towards the court. Plum does not go berserk.

Was Wilson emotionally fragile when she played here?

Here is a random courtside fan actually taunting Clark and taking several steps to follow her down the court. She doesn't even acknowledge it. Notably, he points at her. Mental strength by Clark.

It's interesting, there are actually 5 fans pointing at Wilson at the time she had a mental break and accosted the fan:

So, it wasnt the "taunting", it wasn't the stepping to the court. It wasnt the language, and now its not the pointing.

We all laugh at how ludicrous this is, but i am curious what actually set this girl over the edge? You've shown quite clearly that the fan behavior is not unique.
