Evidently Kirby Smart and other Power 4 program head coaches do not think as you do or they are just wasting helicopter fuel for the heck of it flying to Cleveland County…

I can’t argue with anything you just posted. You spoke straight facts. All I know is CC has three kids going to the Shrine Bowl, three kids that Georgia’s head coach flew in to personally recruit, a boatload of kids with D1 offers already, another boatload with D2 and D3 offers. All four county teams are in the thick of it when talking about state titles in their particular classifications. CC is outperforming a neighboring county that is more than twice its size when it comes to high school football and no one can rationally deny that fact.He says we're not as good as last year. Same man, you're mostly always on point. I'll say this KM looks like they've gotten it together since week 1. Getting better and better. You got a real shot this year, and the program is becoming what the folks up that way have been longing for.
Absolute facts!! Our current losses are within the county and Weddington. If that is a down year, I will take it. The thing is, Gaston County would dream of that scenario.
Gaston county will never have that scenario with certain teams in the county. I don’t think any logical person from Gaston County would ever think of that type of scenario. However if you guys finish the year with the only loss outside the county being Weddington it will be the biggest accomplishment in the history of NC HS Football.
SC was by far the largest team Shelby has played this year size wise. Y'all have some really big linemen. Very good football team and one I'm glad that Shelby will not have to face again this year. Also, very nice stadium.

Don’t get me wrong we are going to put Lawndale in the old GPS and see if we can stay on the same field as the mighty bulldogs.
And don’t get me wrong, I know SC is good. Like I told a guy today, I just don’t know how good. Your wins are against teams without a win and the one solid team you played beat you without key players. That means nothing this Friday but until then I don’t know HOW good. We will find out if Burns is as good as I think they are too.

I 100% agree with you. I will say the defensive front we saw from Shelby on Friday, we will not see a better defensive front the rest of the year in 4A. Not sure who they were missing but I would love to have those backups if they were indeed backups.
I think it was 3 or 4, missing from the original front 7.
Props to SC....SC has some speed and was behind the Shelby dbs multiple times. I think the offense that will really give teams fits when the cold weather hit the playoffs, is your quick pitch to the motion man and #22 as lead block. He was laying people out.
I know Shelby was missing some guys and I still think they will be the most talented team we see this year. That is not a slight to Burns, Lincolnton, Hibriton, West Iredell or anyone else. Shelby still has a lot of talent even missing those guys. That front was tough to run on.
I definitely pick SC over Lincolnton and believe you have the defense to beat Burns just not sure about the offense.
They didn't play like they're playing now.
We have cleaned up a lot in every phase since that first game. We have literally gotten better with each game played. Offensive tempo, getting plays in, changes on the defensive side of the ball with personnel/scheme, and special teams performance. We are pretty unrecognizable from that first game as a team. This KM group really takes to coaching. Also you guys got the varsity game 1 version of Jordan Jenkins, this kid with multiple varsity starts under his belt is a different monster.
So what you're saying is that KM is getting better as they move along during the season.
Some folks from Gaston County do not believe that is possible.
And some folks know hype when they hear it. The young mounties, teams that got good in 2 weeks, teams that lose a lot due to injury but aren’t phased somehow.

From week 1 to present ….nobody looks as good as they have the last 4-5 years. I guess crest is better this year than last year. Got it.

No I don’t….what you said above is exactly what I said. spoke in generalities ….obviously a couple teams might be better….but the normal heavyweights in the western part of NC are down. If you don’t recognize it…..you just aren’t a heavyweight program.
