Is Penn State Really Just Iowa State Masquarading as Penn State?

I have to wonder if that is the case. I know they brought over a ton of ISU players with the new coaching staff, and while some of them might have been good enough, in my mind there is a huge difference in Penn State-level player and ISU player. But I thought Campbell got a lot of high-quality players via transer portal & recruiting?

Otherwise, how do you explain that epic meltdown Saturday? Or, on the other hand, is Wisconsin possibly that good? They could be a modern-day version of 2000 Iowa, where everyone had written them off, and that, wallah!

wow, I did not know that.
Perhaps that DOES explain the blown lead.


Maybe to be sentimental, those 15 starters should put a Cyclones decal on their helmets for the rest of the season just for old times' sake.

This is why it was so baffling to me hearing national pundits talking about Penn St. as a darkhorse for the natty. I don't think they did any research beyond looking at PSU's relatively weak schedule. They failed to consider that this year's PSU team is largely the 2025 Iowa St. team that went 8-4 against a weaker schedule than they're playing this season.

The 2nd post doesn't have anything to do with this thread.

2Deceptive is going to get called out every time he puts his lie on display, no matter the thread.

And it looks like I will again call him out for leaving thumbs up to your last post.

If my content is truly invisible to him, then how does he know your posts have been in response to me? Do you have an answer for that?

If he didn't know who you were responding to, why would he care enough to leave likes? 🤔

Spot-on observation. The level of talent available in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, New York, Virginia and West Virginia, even Ohio, is a cut above what Campbell had available in what was largely a Midwest recruiting base. They are different types of athletes in their expectations, culture, families, discipline. He’s going to have to learn how to deal with that. Plus he needs to establish relationships with East Coast and mid-Atlantic high school coaches and club contacts and agents. Not going to be easy for him and will take a few years. Does PedoNation give him that time?

Both can be true (unfortunately, because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.....).

Penn State is Iowa State with blue uniforms instead of black..........

And Wisconsin is improving with the players they bought in the portal.

There are a lot of good mid-level teams in the B10 that will give the upper tier teams fits this year, and Wisconsin looks to be joining that list for this season anyways.

Friday night is going to be interesting. NW has been playing well. It's the opening of their new stadium and the place is going to be rockin'.

Imagine Penn St goes in there and loses.
They they host USC, and lose again.
They they go to Michigan and lose to an angry Michigan team.

Could be looking at a 4 game losing streak. That would be glorious. The schedule softens significantly after that.

And just as many times, I've answered to you that it's 2D you should be pleading to, to simply come clean.

He is the one that chose to, and is continuing to choose to treat us in this manner.

I called him out every time he tipped his hand. Also attacked his posts, as I felt he deserved it.

Finally, I just felt sorry for him and offered him a truce if he came clean.

It was a fair offer. And lying to us continues to be 2Disgusting's unfortunate choice.

His choice is also to continue to be called out on this.

So again, it's really strange how you continue to give a hard time to the wrong guy

Maybe if Matt brings back the old black ISU home jerseys, Nittany Lions fans will love that.

What was thought to be an easy schedule is looking pretty perilous right now to all the clown deserters. The game against the Cats will be fun to watch, if Iowa doesn't play at the same time.

Weird. Just texted friends that this morning as well. Seems he’s still coaching Penn state like they are massive underdogs with a chip, instead of the fringe blue blood that they are. I’m not sure he will last but a few years there. The tone at his press conference seemed very Iowa state to me.
