In 2025 and through four games this year, visualized.

Most holding calls
Most personal fouls

Got to clean it up. Mizzou scored on a drive that would have stalled in their own territory if not for a personal foul.

Outside of the OPI against Missouri and the ticky-tack hands to the face penalty against South Carolina (that negated an interception), I don't recall any that weren't warranted.

The top 9 teams are separated by less than 1 penalty per game. Not a big deal. But we do need to clean up and probably should ask for donations to the Ref Trust Fund of which BAMA is president.
That’s a 17% difference. Pretty big. Also we lead in both personal fouls & holding, which are often backbreaking penalties.

17% represents the largest margin between State and the #9 team on the list and there are a lot of smaller margins in between. Look at Texas, apparently it hasn't stop them from being #1 in the nation. Just saying that this year's State team has the talent to overcome the number of penalties but of course, that is not ideal and needs to be cleaned up. Just thank the Injuns that we aren't the same as many previous Bulldogs teams otherwise we would be 0-4 or 1-4 at best.

I know we’re all frustrated about the holding calls but if the choice is holding or letting somebody get to K1 I say hold like a MFER.

I don't mind us holding much.

1. Our offense is so explosive that we can overcome bad down & distance.

2. Don't let anyone touch the franchise

3. Make the refs throw 40 holding flags. If they cap it at 10 & Franchise gets 30 clean throws off, we'll score 40 points.
