There should be no question, it would be awesome, and add in the stripe game for the fans, can't think of a better Saturday.
Not sure, but holy crap yes bring back the alt uniforms from Woodshed!
Those dark gray unis from that game are easily my favorite. Sure, doing what we did to OSU helps make them seem even better, but even if we'd lost, they're still cool as hell.

I hope Iowa wears its standard unis. Every time I rewatch that 2017 demolition of THE Ohio State--and it's pretty often--I always wish they had been wearing the standard unis. Branding has been around for a while, which is why commercial products keep their colors and images forever. Alternates undermine the branding. I realize that money has made it possible for teams in every sport at almost every level to have all kinds of unis. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. This is a now or never game to wear them. Highest rated opponent of the year, Gameday on site, and the boys deserve that extra juice by wearing new uniforms after a tough win.
Players may choose but the choices they're given for recent alt uniforms absolutely blows. The black pants with the gold stripe suck. The yellow jerseys with the black stripes on the sleeve suck. The all black pants paired with the traditional home jerseys suck. It's like we're giving our 18-24 year old players options designed by some 65-year-old dude who's running late for his bowling league night.
We've had 2 excellent alt uniforms. The 2017 Ohio St....
...and the 2015 Minnesota blackout unis.
If it's anything other than these just please come out in the traditional home uniforms so we don't look stupid.

Equipment guy told me during tour of lockeroom the players come up with the ideas and approve. OH, GOD NO. I'd hoped they'd burned that one......
These would be awesome, very similar to the Steeler's color rush uniforms. Would like to see this back, but replace the numbers with either a retro herky or cursive Iowa.

I am a bills fan and those uniforms yesterday were not good and I am almost 60. not sure if my 18 yr old self would have liked those. they were nuts. I am not a fan of like 90% of the crazy crap that Oregon wears.

I'm assuming they'd be the 2019 version, I did enjoy those, the ending of that game was devastating though.
Those in the all yellow(gold) weren't bad. wider stripe on the helmet also, and I think the Tigerhawk logo may be bigger. I'd take the guy in that uni back for this Saturday as well......
Usually the football social media team releases some sort of teaser if there's alt uniforms coming. Since there's nothing from them, I'm guessing it's the standard home uni's for Saturday.
Ol' Doodle's not opposed to alternate uniforms as a general rule. But from a psychology standpoint, if you only wear them when a "superior" opponent comes to town, then it kind of puts that in your mind. It's like, "Oh, we're not supposed to be on the same field as these guys, so we need every extra little bit of manufactured, artificial juice we can muster. Maybe 'magic clothes' will make us equal."
Eff that. Wear the unis that got you there.

They're a good, talented football team....but so are we." No need to trot out a one-off uni and make OSU feel any more extra-special than they likely already view themselves. After all, while everyone loves to wax nostalgic about the beatdown of OSU in 2017 in the gray alternates, no one seems eager to regale us with tales of the following week in Madison when we were back in our regular duds. And yes, Doodle chose that particular euphemism for clothing very much on purpose.
