Did the lax team run a train on your girlfriend or something? You're nonsense is truly getting tiresome dude. Come on with something new maybe?
Close. He wanted the guys to run train 🚊 n him. They all declined and he never got over it. Now he’s trying to bang Al. I think he may have a shot

I think it might have asked Cal out for a date when Cal was playing a lax game and cal's response put him on his *** and the"Original Knight ( dressed in white satin) never got over that and now is trying to get even through it's messages on this board.
Possible. Many more women have taken their shot, but a few gays have too. Most understood I’m extremely hetero so it wasn’t a problem. He sounds like the outlier

I think I’ve been off the board for about a year
and I was positive that after the first two games of the season that you would have finally come around and realized that your entire ‘NIL manifesto’ has been blown to smithereens because just like so many people told you, winning takes a lot more than NIL. Instead, in the face of additional and more damning data, you seem to be doubling down on it which is frankly incomprehensible.

if NIL is a ‘key determinant of talent level’, then how did a team with 1/10 of our NIL out play, out physical and out skill us?
He will claim it’s because our portal guys have to get acclimated, which is easily to dispute given UMass has 3x the number of transfers that they acclimated much better.

money doesn't mean production, only means paying for the perceived talent.
So far the money wasn't well spent , compared to the result

The Rutgers D is ranked 80, so from that standpoint we might claim , in defense, USC is the Rutgers of the west

80th and we played UMASS , BC, and Howard.
Schiano whiffed badly again in the Portal on D and on the Staff.

How come it never ever happens where Schiano beats anyone above his weight class then?
Athan beat Washington. Gavin beat Miami. Need exceptional quarterback play to beat someone above your weight class, and that hasn’t always happened. Quarterbacks/team Need to perform at crunch time. Athan had his opportunity at Penn State. Dylan had his opportunity against USC and should have an opportunity this Saturday.

We have more money than UMass and BC. Combined. Yet your boy still got punked. I see why you like him. You’re both laughingstocks
You’re a laughingstock for trolling this thread. If you dropped dead tomorrow, no one would care, because you don’t bring any value to the discussion. You’re just another Ahole with a keyboard, whom no one likes.

Michigan has more money than Western Michigan and Iowa combined. Yet should have lost to both. Money gives you an opportunity to. It’s not a guarantee. Kids still have to go out and execute.

Lost me at matching up with USC defenders. Looks like you read the press release. Anyone can read stats and say he’s the best. But if you actually watched the game and keyed on Kaj you would know he is nowhere near being the best defender. And is closer to being the worst and most out of place than being the best.
Don’t care.

In a field of superior athletes, Kaj looked like he belong. That you think he was out of place is your opinion. That he was our most productive defender is a fact.

Wrong. All our money was spent on the offense and that is where we are seeing the production. We are making do with what we have on defense. Offense has most of the talent.

We lost to a team with 1/10 the NIL and then lost to another team with significantly less NIL. The entire ‘NIL is everything manifesto’ has been blown to smithereens and everything a good portion of the board has been explaining to you for a few years has been proven to be even more correct than before this season.

If you really still believe all of this, then in a few weeks you will have been proven correct when we will have beaten Indiana and a couple of other teams and then in my opinion, you can come back on here and try to make a case, but until then, nothing you say makes any sense at all.

Complete nonsense, as usual from you. Do you think it’s a coincidence thatall the best teams have significant amounts of NIL. It’s all there in black and white. Yes, we lost to BC and UMass, because nil provides an opportunity, not a guarantee. The kids still have to go out and win.

IMG_1935.png

All the best teams in conference have significant amounts of NIL. This is the biggest reason why we are not among the best teams.

Stop wasting my time, and just say you are unable to donate because you have other priorities. I can respect that. Implying that NIL doesn’t matter just makes you look like a fool. All you have to do is cross reference the above list with the Top 25 and you will see that NIL does matter.

Are you for real? Let’s just ignore the 4 and 5 stars all over USCs defense, especially the best freshman in America, Wafle. Let’s also overlook that they are coached by Gary Peterson. Our offense did an excellent against one of the best defensive rosters in America. Duff and Raymond earned their NFL paychecks against USC. It took talent and execution to do well against USCs defense, and our offense did what they had to do, aside from two mistakes.

I don’t care how much they paid for their players. Louisiana dropped 30 points on USC. San Jose St. put up 26 points. I did not say they are “awful” like us - but there is no argument that they are great or even “above average” in the BIG.

Northwestern, for perspective hasn’t allowed anyone other than Indiana to score more than 18 points and they gave up a safety to Indiana so only 27 points in that game. There’s no objective argument right now to suggest USC’s D is superior to NW’s.

You need to keep up. It’s taken 4 games for many of our portal kids to acclimate to this level. Bradlee Jones in particular is playing like he belongs. If people sufficiently donated to NIL, we’d be getting transfers from Div 1 schools not Drake. Our portal class is not up to par because our fans did not pony up. But the kids are doing their best to get better every game and that’s all we can ask for.
YOU said that that this roster was chicken sh#t and that we shouldn't expect Schiano to turn it into chicken salad. Now this "bargain bin" roster is going to run the table the rest of the year? If the transfers aren't up to par, how are they going to win these games against teams whose fans "pony up?" The reason RU is 1-3 is because they lost 2 games to inferior teams because they weren't prepared. The Rockne Of The Raritan didn't have his team ready. That's not a donation problem. That's a coaching problem.

You couldn’t be more wrong here. The biggest issue by far was that no high level established defensive player was going to choose to transfer to a place without knowing who the DC was going to be. Why would anyone choose RU at anything close to FMV if they had other options where they knew who would be coaching.

Some people seem to misunderstand the NIL thing. Think about it from the recruit's perspective. The four and five star recruits want to join teams that will be competitive and allow them to excell and position themselves for NFL consideration, or at a minimum, they want to be on a good football team. If a kid has an offer from a top 10 program, is he going to accept the same amount of money to go to Rutgers? What would it cost to buy out his dreams of playing for a great program? Rutgers doesn't get 5-star recruits regardless of money. Four-star recruits are a big challenge to get and very few of them come. Rutgers is a collection of 3-star players and some transfers that were previously 4-star. Money isn't going to do it alone. Rutgers needs an attractive, accomplished coaching staff, and that doesn't happen overnight. Put the money behind proven coaches and a few of the best players you can buy. Then, with some luck, talented kids might consider coming (after proven success). It's more than just a few years off.

Not that any of this isn’t also true, but not knowing who the coach would be was going to be was a dealbreaker to start. I don’t see how anyone could suggest otherwise.

But look - this was an acknowledged failure preseason. We all knew it and nobody should’ve expected the D to be anything other than awful. Since we clogged in dead last in 2025, the hope was that with better coaching installed we might see some incremental improvement by season’s end to position us better for next season. Any other expectation on D was simply unrealistic (and yes - completely Greg’s fault).

The OL’s failure against UMass (and whatever reasons you want to throw out for it - coaching change, game prep, whatever) is the stand out failure to point to in season for why we are as bad as we are (that’s taking having a bad D as a given going into the season). We have the talent not to be held to 1.5 ypc by UMass. We didn’t execute and that failure caused a ripple down effect that made the loss possible and ultimately is probaby how Lonergan got hurt because we could not protect him or even give him a break with some hand offs as we were consistently stuffed in that game. We wouldn’t have lost to BC in my strong opinion if we won the UMass game and Lonergan was QB in game 2. The season outlook would be different. But it’s not and Greg has nobody to blame but himself for the reasons stated - none of which relate to NIL.

Neither of those teams were above our weight class at the time. In fact, we were favored in both games. Any other actual examples of Schiano doing the unexpected except losing to teams we have far more money than?

How long did it take for the 50+ UMass players to acclimate before embarrassing the 💩Rutgers and your lord and savior?

To their credit, the kids have risen above expectations and that’s all that matters. They struggled game 1, and looked much better against USC, so that’s all that matters.

You couldn’t find a clue with a map. USC blew a ton of money on that defense. Luke Wafle alone is worth $2M to $3M. Lots of future NFLers on that defense, especially Prophet Brown who got the pick6..

The expectation was that RU would be 3-1 and that they would beat UMass, BC, and Howard. They only did one of those things, and were run out of their own stadium by a team that was 0-12 last season. I'd say that they have been nowhere near rising above expectations.

The final score of the USC game was USC 42 Rutgers 35. That’s called rising above expectations. It took time for the kids to get acclimated
