Why isnt it a must win? Because it simply doesnt matter. 3-9 vs 4-8 vs 5-7? Who cares. It doesnt matter and the decision to keep or fire Beamer has already been made, spoiler alert hes back in 2027.

I agree the Kentucky is not a must win for Beamer to keep his job either, but for a different reason.

If Shane has any hope of retaining his high paying job a win vs. KenSucky is absolutely vital. Why? Because I believe 4-8 or worse gets him the pink slip on January 2.

And why in the world in year #6 is a game a “must win”??? That’s so laughable! what so if we win we can be 3-2, 1-2 and go to Florida the next week? Fire Donati

If the team quits on him he’s **** ing gone. And rightfully so. A bad team attitude is the nail in the coffin.

I could care less if they quit. He’s won 1 game in his last 12 in the SEC!! It looks like they have been quit since Illinois game.
Believe it's 1-9 vs. 1-12.

Four of the next five games are against ranked opponents.

I'll go out on a climb --- we win 3 out of the next 5.

Beamer has had two seasons were they figure it out mid-year.

I'm banking on another one this season.

We're not as far off as it appears.

WIth that said -- Hope some of you jumped on that 12.5 Monday spread last week. That was one of the most bizarre ones I've ever seen.

He must win them all to keep his playoff promise alive. If he somehow survives after this season I wonder if Beamer will make another playoff guarantee for 2027?

Out of 8 billion. Humanity is not in danger from that.
It's so bizarre. People will go on for weeks about 9/11 and that was a drop in the bucket compared to COVID. No one has been held accountable. And you don't think there going to keep doing it?

No it isnt. The admin has already weighed the pros and cons. Beating UK and going 5-7 vs 4-8 isnt changing that at all. Neither would losing to them. Everyone has already accepted a sub .500 2026 is incoming. What difference does it make?

Why in the world are we favored over UK?

It was. We had to beat teams we were suooosed to if 2026 was gonna be a redemption year. 3-0, even w a loss to Bama, and a Kentucky win for 4-1 gives us momentum and a hopefully nice 8-4 or better season.

Nope. We lost to MSU, momentum collapsed which showed at Bama. Now we are in a free fall and UK is irrelevant. Win or lose 2026 is a wash

I could see this season mirroring last season's trajectory. Going into UK 2-2 (0-2), winning to get to 3-2 and then only winning one game (Arky) the reason of the year.

Two? If by mid year you mean the last two games of 22?

Hes also had two of the last three seasons where he hasn't figured it out.

I will hold out hope that A&M and OU completely collapse.

We’re so far off that even if we’re not anywhere near as far off as it would appear, we’re still far off.

OU, aTm, Arkansas and Clemson all look mediocre as hell so there is a chance we knock off 1-2 of them.

If by some miracle Beamer pulls off 6-6 and wins a bowl at 7-6, he will get an extension and we will be 4-8 again in 2027

The best thing for Clemson is to lose to USC this year in hopes of Beamer getting an extensions

No game outside of the cupcakes are a sure win, but UK is a definite possible win. UK has beaten Youngstown State, an A&M team that has been shown to be awful and South Alabama. They had a pulse against Bama, but Bama stomped them ultimately. In fact, they lost to Bama almost as bad as we did, so our two teams are pretty evenly matched based on that.
