That was shocking. Part of this may be economics, part may be TV access and part may be the poor state of CFB. You summed it yesterday in saying your interest is just “meh” anymore. Many feel the same way.
The biggest difference today is getting the NIL plug and play players. Recruiting is
essential, but, experience whether MAC,Sunbelt, or power 4.
Players like Luke Wafle are few and far between. In other words pay proven players.
We pretty much lost the 26 class due to the late hire, and the players MC took with
him from ISU trusted playing for him rather than taking a chance with ISU's new HC.
Top that with a good chunk of PSU players going elsewhere.
It is what it is at this point, fixable to a point yes , but it is a reality check for players,
coaches and fans.

I get the concern but isn't this that case at almost every program aside from playing elite teams?
Just too many other things I enjoy or would rather do at this point to worry about college football. I will say I can’t ever see myself spending $15 on fries with cheese from the Chickie’s And Pete’s concession stand. I’d add someone mentioned tons of tickets were available for cheap. I think they made a big mistake going bigger instead of smaller/more comfortable.

Tarps or empty seats are prevalent.
Younger fans just don't have the same interest we did in going to games and older generations (myself included) are passing on games for convenience.

That is true…there were plenty of opportunities for big plays that Becht missed.
I think it’s more the expectations of going 12-0 every year….and please don’t say posters on here don’t expect 12-0…I read the posts after the losses and the close wins.
I may research the demand and pricing studies they did for this expansion plan.
PSU fans are die hard in general, but it’s not an abundantly affluent base.
Oklahoma State beat Oregon with North Texas players because they have a dynamic and creative offense.
Sorry, fans of every major program think 12-0 should happen or is a possibility. That sentiment is nothing unique to Penn State so this narrative that we deserve every bad thing that happens to the program is horse piss.

Outside of OSU, Georgia and a few others, no fan expects 12-0 every season…they hope for it, but don’t expect it and they certainly don’t fire a coach who’s had multiple 10+ win seasons.
It does if you’re trying to play straight up, smash mouth football instead of having some creativity. You can’t out talent a team when you don’t have significantly more talent.

BS. Other programs fire coaches routinely. Giving a guy 12 years for 4-21 against top ten is beyond generous. Since you mentioned Georgia go look up Mark Richt.
Who else? Tell me all the other programs that have fired a coach with multiple 10 win seasons halfway through a season after they were one game away from the NC…I’ll wait.

Hard to say, depends on if the guys would play better in a more creative system, but obviously we’ll never know. I’m just wondering why North Texas guys are better than many of the transfers from big boy schools.
You must not read the board very closely. When people are calling for a coach’s head after every loss, they clearly expect 12-0.

Clearly, we were bad yesterday. Watch Oklahoma State vs Tulsa--you wouldn't be saying this.
You have a few irrational people -- just like the Franklin fans that want Campbell gone already. 40% of the poll actually said that.
I’ve been on this board for many years and have yet to see a loss where almost every poster put the blame on the players and not the coach.
