With NRF opening on Friday, this week’s conference games were a real anomaly relative to home field advantage. Michigan, USC, PSU and Washington, all top half teams, lost, as well as MSU And Maryland. Indiana and OSU were the only two home teams to win a conference game, and Indiana just got by the Cats.

I hope the home team does better in the upcoming week!

But but but, I’ve been told the team with the most fans wins!

I can't make up my mind about home field advantage for this game. Part of the advantage is having a comfort about being in a familiar place, knowing how the wind swirls in the stadium, where the sun is blinding at certain times of the afternoon, stuff like that. The Cats will hardly have spent any time on the field or under the lights.

Home crowd should be good and the wall, though not developed to it's full potential in game one, may put some juice into the team and drown out the signals if the opposition is threatening to score at that end.
