I don’t recall DR getting knocked down once last night. The late roughing penalty was a light slap to his helmet. That call bailed Oregon out.
There’s plenty of legitimate criticism of DR. There’s also plenty of compliments in this thread. It’s a message board. What do you expect?
DR was/is a polarizing figure. His obvious attempts to mimic Mahommes and his personality coupled with his obvious distaste for contact rankled some fans. Add his paycheck and it’s easy to see why some people dislike him.

He's only polarizing because people are so emotional about him and had such high expectations. It isn't like he's going around doing or saying crazy or controversial stuff on a weekly basis. It's like how some people are disgusted by Marlon Lucky because they thought he would be the #1 pick.
His mannerisms often are kind of awkward. It’s interesting how quickly our fans have fallen in love with Colandrea. Colandrea is balls to the walls all the time. Some of it is that Raiola came across kind of prissy and unwilling to take a hit. I still remind people of how young he still is. He had the weight of fan expectations and his dad’s legacy on his shoulders. His dad was a behind the school brawler who would take on guys 50lbs heavier than himself. DOM’s intensity was legendary through his time in the NFL. Dylan is not his dad.
NU has the QB that is much better suited for what OCDH wants to do as a play caller. Colandrea gets the ball to a lot of guys and those guys are making plays. Definitely expands what he and Dana can do in the playbook. But also glad to see the Raiola kid ball out last night. No hard feelings.

It’s hard to feel sorry for a 21 year old who has already banked millions, but coming to NU was maybe a mistake. He would still be riding the pine at Georgia I guess or have transferred somewhere else. It’s worked out for him but the pressure was immense in Lincoln. I hate seeing the personal attacks on him and his family. I believe his dad had been very generous with NU over the years. Dom is/was a great Husker but he probably also realizes what a dog eat dog business college football is.

Raiola is limited and lacks leadership. He’s in as good a spot as he can be, surrounded by some of the best lineup money can buy, where he doesn’t have to work through progressions, he can keep a large majority of passes simple and short, and talented receivers can make adjustments. He will have good numbers.

The problem was never DR.
It was a dogshiit OLine that required a mobile QB that had to be able to scramble.
DR was part of the problem also . There were times ( not many ) when he had plenty of time to get rid of the ball and he took a sack because he is not mobile.
Did I say they won’t make the playoffs? No I didn’t. You are reaching just to try to insult me. 3+ losses means 3 or more. If they have 3 yeah they can make it. And I’m the dumb one?
Holgerson was a lot more successful at other places….i am hopeful for a bit of continuity here and see a lot more out of him

Raiola doesn’t have to be dual threat, but can learn to better deal with a pass rush. The fact that the Duck receivers generally win their routes helps mitigate this. He ain’t holding the ball as much bc people are open.
I thought DR looked good. Shows what he can do with a real line and real receivers and a coaching staff that isn’t incompetent
There is nothin poor about Bradford. Guy signed about 75mil in contracts
It would be nice to see a more creative OC next year. But Holgorsen will probably be back.
