We’ve started to put in Markham for Malone in the back row. Has helped tremendously with our passing. I wouldn’t mind West getting some playing time today though that’s for sure! we just didn’t have many easy matches this year to build up the depth. we’ve had 2 less non con matches than most of other teams, and Colorado St is top 20 in evollve and JMU a top 50-60 team. Left neutral FGCU, at davidson and vs UNCW as the only really easy matches we hadGreat win. Now on to the next game. I hope coach will continue to play the youngsters. I saw Markham played which is good. Did Addison West play at all last night? He needs to play her some to get her some experience. I am scared this young talent my leave at the end of the season and she will probably end up at Nebraska. She was the GPOY last year out of that state and Nebraska is a hot bed for top level volleyball talent.
Thanks for sharing and the information. Do you think West will leave at the end of this season because she is not playing? We’ve started to put in Markham for Malone in the back row. I have no idea, i’m not plugged in. I would think there’s a fair amount of playing time to be had next year thoughThanks for sharing and the information. Do you think West will leave at the end of this season because she is not playing?
I agree that setting is a major problem. I just do not understand why coach is not trying to play Sienna and Emily. At this point in the season it will not hurt to put them in to see what they can do.We will not beat any of the top dogs or even GA Tech is we play like we did yesterday.
We lack agression. we lack swagger. Losing Malone made that very evident. I doubt Malone is back next week or week after, so Pearce needs to step up and we need to use West possible against Clemson. Ga Tech is not going to be easy, they are better than last year and have hard hitters. We better find out swagger fast.
Glad to see Safi producing offensively, but homegirl has got to work on her passing. Every team is going to pick on her from here on out.
JB looks better each match she is the sole libero like she is getting into a rhythm.
IMO the passing is not the main issue, it is the setting. Our setters have to learn to better the ball. Sienna and Emily need to be starters. Zoe is not putting our hitters in the best position, and you cant blame it all on passing.
Because Mike is a loyal person. Loyalty is good off the court. But on the court, I dont care if you have been here since the beginning of my tenure, you dont produce you do not play.I agree that setting is a major problem. It would be interesting to see Bobbitt with thorpe and safi on the front line. I think she’s the best actual “setter” and with a back line that included markham and Bollinger, maybe the passing would be sufficient to get it to her in a good position . Imo, cozza is the best player of the 3 and should obviously be in thereBecause Mike is a loyal person. Loyalty is good off the court. Loyalty is a good trait, but if we want to take the next step, our offense is our calling card. And the best two setters need to be on the floor.
While we will miss her for a month, that is much better than I expected when I saw the injury- I thought for sure it might be season ending.Announcers just said Malone might be out for a month
This is why she should be playing. It should not have come down to Malone getting an injury for him to finally play her. As I stated before, She is a Gatorade player of the year. How many players have we had in volleyball to come in as a Gatorade player of the year? I know it cannot be that many, especially to play at UNC in Volleyball.West with 10 kills
Easy sweep
Nope. Lots of attack errors, couple net violations. Down 10-523-25 first set, hopefully we can recompose.
