Oregon kept Raiola within his comfort zone, and didn’t ask or need him to do anything more. Handed off a lot to an effective running game. Between good OL play and quick throws by design, he didn’t have much pressure. Never asked to run. If you watched the game, many of his throws were to receivers behind the line of scrimmage, including a 50 yarder. His last TD that sealed the game was probably his longest throw, and if you notice he looked wide open at first and yet the catch was contested.
But Raiola was elite with the throws under 10 yards, as he was here, and maybe that’s all Oregon needs. But I think they will need more when they are playing a team with a pulse, identity, and talent.

Another thing USC game planned for Dante Moore obviously. This is HS where another QB comes in you just can’t get the chalkboard out and draw up a new defense. Now that Dylan likely will be qb 1. Teams will try to defend Oregon differently. There is no threat of running and I think they will try to take way the short passes as much as they can . They want Dylan holding the ball longer and in the pocket to pressure and having to go through all his reads which we all know is the weakest part of his game.
Well that’s better than a program that’s never been “Good” as in Iowa .

On one of his receptions at the end of the game, they did send pressure and he lobbed it off of his back foot. Could’ve easily been intercepted. He has zero chance of playing professionally.

Despite a couple comments after he transferred he seems like a good kid who represented NU well. He came in cold, led two TD drives to win the game, didn't make any critical errors, all in a hostile environment against a thug team. He did alright for himself and I'm happy for him.

Ya USC game plan was fur Dante Moore not Dylan. This isn’t HS you can’t just change midstream. Now that Dylan is likely QB1 you are going to see DCs change their game plan.they will try to take away the quick pass and put pressure on Dylan and make try to go through his options which we know he is not very good at .
One long completion he threw it falling back with a guy in his face. Heckuva throw but it was an under thrown 50/50 ball that his WR made a great play on. Oregon was giving their O line help on dropbacks because of his immobility.
One obvious thing I saw was how indifferent his O linemen appeared to act towards him. He would walk up and appear to want to chest bump and they would just ignore him. Odd interactions.
He had a few good longer balls but clearly they were helping their O line on drop backs and trying to get the ball out quickly. Their O line is obviously better than ours was last year. I’m surprised USC didn’t blitz more.
