This is the Tulsa Team I expected

I did not feel at any point Coach Lamb thought Tulsa had a real chance to win at Arkansas. The "cute" play calling, gimmick plays, going for 2 (don't give me analytics, momentum doesn't give a crap about your analytics), and an on-side kick are FBS thinking. It's looser thinking. The team played up to their coaches' expectations tonight.

Fortunately, as when Coach Lamb learned he can't do 2-a-days in 100+ degree heat for a week after a big win, I believe he will learn from this.

This was never a CFP team. It was nice to dream for a little bit, but the goal of being bowl eligibility is still very much in play. I expected 2 - 2 after this game and we sit at 3 - 1. I do see 3 more wins in this schedule to be bowl eligible if the team is healthy.

Having said that, the offense is plain awful. I think the weakness of this team is the offensive coaching staff. That is on Coach Lamb to correct as the season goes on.

I never thought we were a serious playoff contender either , I think getting back to a bowl game this season is realistic if Hayes returns soon , I don’t think the OSU win was a fluke , I believe when we are healthy , we are pretty decent , but we definitely took a step back tonight , really wish I wouldn’t have wasted time and money going if we went in there knowing we didn’t have a chance

Apparently, Coach lamb pulled the "They have a better roster card" tonight. Maybe the tragedy with the coach and his family have hurt this staff more than we can see. Lamb just looked like he expected a loss and coached that way.

Terrible offense. Just bad.
Kicking game. Awful.

But... Defense is good. Could get 7 wins with the remaining schedule and defense.

I would say Tulsa is ahead of schedule at this point when it comes to the goal of becoming bowl eligible. I was expecting more from the offense and I think Coach Lamb was too.

Not sure what caused Lamb's attitude swing from OSU to Arkansas, realization his OC is terrible, realizing much of his money spend on offense has been wasted, Baylor's injury is worse that firs thought, being gut punched by the deal in the coaching family, or a combination of things. He needs to pick himself and the team up off the floor and get the swagger back.

We went to the game. Was excited by the prospects of beating Arkansas. I thought Baylor would be back by now though. Dexter is bad. He had 1 good drive with a couple good throws and scramble, but otherwise was abysmal. O-line opened zero holes. Sat through the rain on the upper deck, stayed til the end. Really wanted to see more fight in the team. Defense kept us in the game til the Offense fumbled twice in 2nd half. Dexter was terrible on the fumble then the last 1 was just the final nail of any hope of scoring again.

I think the defense is good enough to get us at least to a bowl. The Oline hopefully does well enough against non-SEC defenses, and Baylor is back with good accuracy.
