A very good sign from the IU game

[Baz = Heisman]

In years past, we had absolutely ZERO cornerback depth. One injury and we were cooked. But without Braden Turner and without Fussell for 95% of the game… Pate and DEASFERNANDES (yes I had to copy and paste this lol) held their own I thought. Same deal with our receivers too, even though Eligon is clearly an upgrade. We adjusted to use the TE more. That bodes well for the rest of the season and frankly the program going forward.

We looked great, but wish we had a better running game. Chiles shouldn't have to carry the team on his shoulders! The defense is pretty good!!!

The line depth is so thin. Losing EO hurts. I hope hes ok long term

Depth is the cornerstone of truly elite programs. You can never have too many good players. In this sport, injuries are inevitable.

EO out for the year? Anytime a player with a lower body injury gets carted off I fear it's over but hope I'm wrong.

Those are players that have started games, with Deasfernandes doing so at the B1G level. At the time I thought it was overkill to bring in CBs or at least would have rather brought in a couple receivers but thankfully we did. Still wish we had the receivers though, but the TEs and Himon are making up for that.

Of course, nothing is ever reported, but it seemed pretty serious
