Loud Pipes Save Lives. Saw it on a shirt once. Lol.
I’m not sure glass packs are a thing anymore. Just single chamber mufflers or sum.

I too have come to the age where I think unnecessary noise is , well, unnecessary. I spent the better part of my life driving either a V8 with headers or a Harley Davidson so I can’t in good conscience complain about engine noise.

I have a 1965 f100 single cab with headers and a nice muffler that gives a little rumble, but glass packs would be too much for me. I’m not hating on them except when they drive by early morning or late at night.

My ‘03 z71 had flowmaster 10s, absolutely loved the rumble they had. Currently have an ‘08 250 that I’m going to straight pipe at some point. My daily driver is my quiet….my truck is my work toy. Gotta keep things evenly balanced

Some of us enjoy sunroofs, convertibles, or listening to music. Fùck you, you are a dick, we are all against you.
Absolutely only had to read the thread title to fully 17ing agree. Fully agree with your message as well… I get it. I hate when a douch around here with a weak *** Chevy or GMC cruises by with loud *** fart can loud *** glass pack muffler that is deafening. I just don’t get the point other than saying I have less Horsepower and Torque but I bet I can make you miserable with my Glass Pack muffler. Or for that matter whatever brand the truck is. 17 them.

I have 2 on my 68 Firebird so I'm a double douche
Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packing here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fu*kin' muscle

Honestly, I’ll allow it on that car. It’s the dipshits with a V6 2022 Mustang that piss me off.

Hey.....I have no problem with teenagers, up to about 25ish......having some rumble on their truck. For us older generation, if you have a classic/antique, also, no problem with some good old fashioned rumble.

Boys will be boys, and men should be men.,.....and if you got a v8 or a classic v8.....let that ***** talk

I live on a state highway with a fairly good bit of traffic. The only vehicles that bother me are the 18 wheelers who have taken off there factory mufflers and put on straight pipes. They are as loud as the screams of hell. And their POS drivers absolutely LOVE to play with the engine brake for no good reason. Those with factory mufflers are hardly louder than car traffic. And the loud ones are all Mississippi tagged, either log trucks or grain trucks. A truck that you know is crossing state lines like a Walmart truck is really quiet.

If the state would require factory mufflers for 18 wheelers , noise and quality of life would improve for everyone. Those signs you see in every town saying "NO ENGINE BRAKE' would disappear. But I won't hold my breath. Quality of life is not on the Mississippi Legislature's agenda.

Guy in our neighborhood has a Jeep with the 392 hemi. It has a switch on the dash to run the exhaust through the mufflers or to bypass them somewhat. It’s not straight pipes at that point and honestly it sounds good but I wish he would flip that switch to quiet mode when he heads to the airport at 4 am.

You must’ve been piggybacking the same POS I was yesterday on Hwy 25 all the way from Jackson to Starkville. I literally stopped for five minutes just to let him get ahead of us.

If you really want your glass packs to be obnoxious get em real hot and run water up you tail pipe to the packs.....it cracks the glass up and makes them about 50% louder. One of my best friends growing up was true "hot-rodder" back in the 60's LOL .
