Great call Nostradamus. It will be an upset. Howard will win this one to the surprise of all the Schiano cool aid drinkers. After the game Schiano will say that we made some mistakes and will make the appropriate adjustments for the rest of the season.
It was terrible..a tomb.I’ve never seen the crowd this small on Tv. Maybe it’s different in person
It turned out ok didn’t it playing SuraceYeah dude, trot out the guy who can't hit a receiver in stride, under throwing him and getting him injured. Brilliant. How much more do we need to see?
Not really, he was a disaster, and he may have injured a receiver with a poorly thrown pass.It turned out ok didn’t it playing Surace
You cannot keep your starter in a blowout as you are still trying to salvage the seasonNot really, he was a disaster, and he may have injured a receiver with a poorly thrown pass.
Have seen enough of him. IDK how the coaches could have claimed the QB competition was close.
Maybe we are missing each other. I agree it was time to take Lonergan out.You cannot keep your starter in a blowout as you are still trying to salvage the season
we probably both agree we are max a 5 win team but probably more like 3-4 this year, but there is no coach that would not take out his starter tonight
Ashendelder is not good. He was lightly recruited and nobody has said he’s ready to compete. Many say he’ll soon be passed by Stearn. He didn’t attempt one pass. Surace is further along and he needs timeMaybe we are missing each other. I agree it was time to take Lonergan out.
My point was after 2 series, AJ should have been pulled.
Said it above, at this point, no harm in giving Ashenfelder more time when AJ's performance is poor. Nothing left to lose there, IMO, but we can disagree.
Teel really wasn't above average until his senior year and had two NFL receivers in Britt and Underwood.Ashendelder is not good. He was lightly recruited and nobody has said he’s ready to compete. look back at Teel’s first year playing vs second and third. He progressed a lot.
Lonergan looks better but Surace may end up just fine - it’s his first few games playing
Not for nothing but DL also had a terribly under thrown pass that could have gotten Duff hurt. Neither one of them are great. Not really, he was a disaster, and he may have injured a receiver with a poorly thrown pass.

He’s a statue back there. I don’t know how a kid that grew up in a football household with private trainers his entire life be so fundamentally flawed. He stands on his heels flat footed and throws off his back foot. Saw him in high school a couple of times ( awful competition in Mercer county) and looked to be better prepared. He’s seriously regressed in the 3 years in the program. Not really, he was a disaster, and he may have injured a receiver with a poorly thrown pass.

100 wins is an achievement if is achieved in 10-12 years. It’s not an achieve in 18 years. Rutgers is the only place that embraces an overall losing record as an achievement.I will say it again even though they were more than 40 point favorites against a Howard team that didn’t stand a chance against them, kudos to Greg Schiano in getting his 100th win as a FBS coach. It really is an achievement. However, it was sad that he had to accomplish this achievement against such a weak opponent. It’s not quite as bad as an injured star running back being handed the ball at the one yard line and walking it in as the other team’s players step out of the way so that the current star could break the record of a prior star, but it was not an impressive way to accomplish this feat.
I hope that this isn’t the last win in Greg Schiano’s career as a major college coach. Hopefully, he will last the season and get a few more wins without the need for Rutgers to go with an interim head coach. I remember what it was like having Greg Schiano as coach the first time around. His leaving Rutgers was a huge loss for Rutgers and for Greg Schiano and it no longer seems like he will be able to get Rutgers back to anything similar to where we were a mere 20 years ago with him as head coach. It’s just sad.
